I know there are a couple of fics out there that are similar to this but it is just such a good thing to right about. Please review it makes my day and I will respond. Dedicated to the first one to review!
Raven pulled the duvet up over her chin, she didn't have to get up for a whole hour. She wouldn't call her self a lazy person but it was precisely (she checked her blackbox) 2:04 in the morning. Unfortunately when she got up was not her choice to make,
"Mummy!" Yelled her seven year old Kira, "you said if I got up on time for training we could go outside". Raven resisted the temptation to pull the duvet over her head and ignore her daughter and instead pulled a slightly pained smile,
"You don't have to get up yet, Kira, it's two in the morning" Kira frowned,
"But my blackbox said it was three..." She trailed off, Raven slumped back in her bed hard and whacked her head on the headboard.
"Otto" she growled under her breath with a voice which would turn you to ice,
"Whose Otto" Kira asked tilting her head on one side, "is he the clock man"
"The what?" Said Raven reluctantly sliding out of bed.
"The clock man" Kira explained matter of factly, "is the little man who lives inside all the blackboxes and clocks in the world and he keeps the time." She was proud of this fact,
"Where did you get that from" Raven asked as she slid into her jumpsuit and strapped her kantanas to her back.
"Daddy" Kira said with a knowing nod, "Daddy read me and Albert a story about it. I asked him whether it was true because I think the clock man sounds a bit silly but Daddy—"
"Said it was" Raven said making a mental note not to teach her children things like that. If circumstances had been different Raven would have been fine with that but they were children of two of the most wanted people. There would be definitely kidnappers flocking to hold them ransom and Raven knew that if they were taken she would do what ever they asked to get them back. For that reason she couldn't afford to tell them tales that might later cost them their lives.
"Kira where's Albert?" Raven asked, Kira thought on the whereabouts of her six year old brother before announces,
"Don't know and don't care". Raven tutted,
"You should be nice to your brother". Raven thought of what she would have given to have a brother when she was little. But you did, a little voice in her head told her, Dimitri and Tolya had been like brothers to her. Raven scooped up her blackbox and flipped it open, "H.I.V. could you tell me where Albert in please"
"Albert is in his quarters, Operative Raven, may I be of any further assistance?"
"No that's fine H.I. " she said flipping the blackbox closed.
"Mummy?"
"Yes Kira"
"Why doesn't Daddy ever give me and Albert training?"
"He does, the villainy studies and the—"
"Not that training" said Kira exasperated, "the proper training, the stuff we do with you Mummy like fitness training and knife throwing"
"That's not the only proper training"
"Yes it is." Said Kira like that was the end of the matter "But why doesn't Daddy ever do it?" Raven smirked to herself,
"Lets just say your Daddy...prefers the other type of training"
"Yeah the boring stuff" Raven rolled her eyes and tugged her fingers through her hair fiddling round until it was vaguely presentable.
"All the training is important Kira, there are lots of roles you could fill in the future" she said turning to face her daughter,
"I'm not stupid Mummy. Daddy can't do all the stuff you can do can he." Raven smiled to herself her daughter might go along with the clock man but when it came to her Daddy she was on the ball with information. Raven dodged the question,
"What do you want to do when you grow up Kira?"
"I want to be an assassin like you Mummy" Kira said without missing a beat.
"Come on Kira lets go find Albert"
