And As We Watch The Stars
Author: Small Town Big Dreams
Not Beta'd.
A/N: Okay, midterms are done and I'm back on here, and with a new crossover fic! My last one, Amarillo Sky, was a Tex and Outsiders crossover, but I came to realize I had no idea what was happening (there was, like, no plot line). So, I hope this one works out a bit better.
Disclaimer: This is in effect for this whole story. This will be the only chapter with a disclaimer actually written, so read it now: I DO NOT OWN THE OUTSIDERS, TAMING THE STAR RUNNER OR ANYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THE BOOKS OR OUTSIDERS T.V. SHOW OR MOVIE.

It was night when Dallas opened his eyes. There was a sunset to the west that would have made the kid trip over his own feet had he seen it, but Dallas had long ago become blind to natural beauty. He slowly sat up, expecting pain from his bullet torn body, but on finding none jumped to his feet. In fact, he didn't feel anything at all.
"Hello, child." A familiar man had appeared around the side of the building and was staring down at Dallas. "How was life?"
"Whadda ya mean how was life? You're the one that messed it up so bad, you asshole! You let everyone I ever got close to die! How can ya even stand there and ask me how life was?"
The man laughed and walked over to stand next to Dallas, seeming unafraid of the furious teenager. It was no more than Dallas expected, but seeing the man so calm and unconcerned made him lose it.
"How could you? That fucking do-good priest my momma made me listen to when I was little said that you'd always have a plan and that things would always work out for the better! Some joke that was, you little son of a bitch! Nice plan you made for me, huh?"
The man did not reply, instead watching the last streaks of red fade from the sky, washing into the indigo that slowly covered them. Dallas gave up, his temper fading strangely fast. He flopped back down on to the ground, staring up at the now black sky, but still able to see everything around him like it was broad daylight. This place was funny like that.
The man sat down next to him and looked up at the sky too, smiling softly. "When you look at the sky Dallas, what do you see?"
Dallas was silent for a moment, contemplating the question. Deciding it was a trick question, he muttered, "Nothin' worth believin' in."
The man turned his head towards him and said sadly, "I will admit I have made mistakes and unfortunately, Dallas, I made a mistake when it came to you. So I'd like to give you a second chance, let you have your own life. Now I don't give this chance to many, so use it wisely."
"I don't want to go back! I'll just end up in the same place I was!"
The man smiled at him, standing up. "Now Dallas, I never said you'd be going back as a human."
He snapped his fingers and everything went dark.

Yep, it was pretty short but the first chapter will be better. I'll upload it tommorow, but will only let me load one document a day.
