Summary: This story is set in the Northern Air Temple. One boy, Hex, and one girl, Piper (I know they are not very Avatar names) are in the Northern Water Tribe town. Hex is a water bender while Piper… is a fire bender. She was orphaned and lived by herself most of her life until Hex found her one day in the snow caps. Hex, being the twin brother of Yue and the father the Tribe leader they decided to disguise her and raise her as a water tribe orphan who's parents were killed by the fire nation.

BTW: Hex also has white hair.

I paced across my room; I had been doing it for the last 10 minutes. Piper was supposed to be here 15 minutes ago.

There was a knock at my door, I opened it and on the other side was Piper disguised, like always, in her water tribe clothes, black hair hung low with one strand hanging in the middle of her face.

I, like always, was wearing my water nation tribe clothes. Obviously sense my father was the tribe leader, Yue and I get fancier clothes. My white hair was only a little past my ears, I had never cut it, it just grew slow. (This is before Aang and everyone gets to the Northern Tribe, therefore Yue is still alive.)

It was midnight, the moon was in the middle of the sky, when water bending was at its strongest.

"Are we going?" she asked.

"Well we could already be there if you would have been here 15 minutes ago."

"Let's just go."

We walked along the snow floors and walls. I looked over at Piper and she looked back. I grabbed her hand, my hand was freezing. We had told each other we liked each other sense probably the first week we met.

We found her wondering in the snow caps one day, the only reason why she didn't die is because she used fire bending to keep warm.

She heated up my hand through hers. We were 16 now and in love. I had thought many times about giving her an engagement necklace.

We walked back behind the Tribe to a cave, we came here every night.

We sat down next to each other and kissed. I loved her so much, maybe tonight would be the night for the necklace. I brought it with my everywhere just in case.

I got some water with my bending and held it in the air in front of use. Then Piper used her fire bending and made the water become steam. We did this every night, it was good for relaxation and if anyone came they would only find one of us, the other would hide. Even if we were 16 we would still get in trouble if we were out at night by ourselves.

"I love you," whispered Piper.

"I love you too," I said. "Do you mean that? Do you really love me Piper?"

"Of course."

"If I wanted to run away would you run away with me?"

"Yes, al though I hope you don't want too."

"I don't. It's just…"

"What?"

"I have… I have something to ask you."

"What is it Hex?"

"Piper," I said pulling out the necklace, "will you marry me?"
