Prologue
Alone, But With Friends
It was dark outside as a lonely girl sat on a bench and looked outside of the shack window at the setting sun. 'Why does this have to happen to me, why was it me? Mother, Father, where are you?' She had auburne hair and green eyes. The girl got up and closed the door of her small shack that she lived in. She had been living in it for a while now. 'well I guess I better get to sleep I have school tomorrow.' As she slept she dreamt of the night that she and her parents were seperated...
"SAKURA!", a woman yelled at her ten year old daughter."RUN! NOW! GET AWAY! HURRY, BEFORE THEY COME AND SEE YOU!" Sakura ran and ran. She ran as fast as her two legs could take her. The men who had been chasing her and her parents were right behind them as they ran. Sakura's father and mother had fallen in to a very deep ditch. Sakura's mother told her to run so she ran. Sakura must of ran for hours. She didn' t know for sure. She came to a highway after a while and followed it to Tomedad. In Tomedad, Sakura had found this shack that she was living in. She had found a job were there was a nice lady. She had hired Sakura when Sakura was only ten because Sakura had told her what had happened. She and her daughter were the only ones that knew. She helped Sakura in anyway that she could. Sakura would sometimes stay the night there when she got scared, but other than that Sakura wanted to stay dependent. They didn't know about the shack, that was one thing that sakura kept from them.
Sakura woke up with tears running down her face. It had been five years ago when that happened. Sakura didn't know what happened to her parents. She had hope that they were still alive. When she looked out the window the sun was just rising. 'I better get dressed so I'm not late, I have to meet Tomoyo today.' Tomoyo was the nice lady's daughter.Tomoyo and Sakura had become fast friends. They went to school together and always hung out. Tomoyo's mother told Sakura when she first met her five years ago that Sakura had to go to school. So she was Sakura's "gardian" for papers and things when the school needed it. Sakura smiled as she remembered this. She looked at her watch..."AHHH! I'M LATE!"...and ran out the door.
