Title: All in a Day's Work
Fandom: Burn Notice
Author: cheshirejin

Chars/Pairs: Michael Westen
Genres: Humor/Drama
Warnings: none
Word Count:177

Summary: Based on the season three episode Noble Causes. The first paragraph of this is nearly word for word Michael's voiceover for the scene involved. Why? Because I wondered how he got the lubricant onto the light bracket to set Claude up to fail.

"In free climbing the general rule is to have two points of contact with the surface you are climbing at all times. A challenging climb will always have a point where the only way to continue is to make a leap from one point to the next. For experienced climbers it is a routine technique with little risk. Unless, of course the hand hold you are jumping to is coated with a silicon-based lubricant. "

Claude didn't know what happened as his grip failed and he suddenly fell from the side of the building. From the loud crunching noise, he had most likely broke his leg, probably at the ankle. It had taken a little bit of planning to foil this robbery without it coming back on me. It had also taken a fairly embarrassing moment of hanging from the targeted building in Fi's pink rappelling gear with a bottle of silicone lube in hand in order to apply it liberally to several of the lighting brackets that were likely handholds for our friendly neighborhood cat burglar.
