"Goodnight, Sora."
For one of the few times in his life, Sora was scared. Kingdom Hearts he was falling into the darkness. Falling away from the light he held so dear and the friends he held so close. He was now doomed to become a vessel of a complete monster he had only heard stories of.
He didn't want to close his eyes, but it happened anyways, everything too much for his weakened heart to bear. He felt the darkness greedily spring upon its new victim, and deep within his heart he screamed.
"PLEASE! RIKU! SOMEONE! HELP ME!"
He scrambled in the darkness, feeling so cold, alone, scared. No one knew where he was. For all Yen Sid knew, he could still be tugging along the Mark of Mastery Exam and perfectly safe. Then there was Riku, who was probably falling into the same trap.
He realized that no one could hear him, then screamed again, this time reaching into his heart "PLEASE! ROXAS!" He begged the Nobody to save him, trying desperately to coax his Other into saving him from this horrible fate in the darkness. He thought constantly of Kairi, his beautiful light that he had held so dear in this darkness, but the small pinprick of light was fading fast, too quickly consumed.
"SOMEONE!"
He thought desperately as he felt constricted by the chill and sickening feelings, hoping for some escape-
He recalled the mysterious words of that odd young man that had kept pursuing him: he had called his heart a prison, but he wasn't the prisoner... He called for help again, reaching even further into his heart.
"PLEASE! I'M SORRY FOR IMPRISONING YOU! JUST SAVE ME!"
Suddenly, his light grew, exposing the tears running down his face so taut with fear. He felt a warm hand grab him, and heard a voice. One that he hadn't heard since he was fourteen and starting these grand adventures.
'You never imprisoned me. Don't worry, we're both safe now...'
Sora smiled at the figure guiding him out of the darkness, but not recognizing the blurry shape. Still, he didn't care, and he breathlessly sobbed "Thank you...!"
He felt himself dip into true, restful, peaceful sleep as the voice held him closer to the light with a gentle sigh
'It was my turn anyways...'
Seriously I wanna know what the freak was going on in Sora's head after his heart fell into darkness. ANSWER ME NOMURA.
