Disclaimer- (sadly) I do not own Nikita or its characters. Just my words

I had this plan of writing a Mikita one-shot per episode but I guess you cannot force inspiration to come at your will. Oh well I hope you enjoy this really short one and I'll try to keep up with other episodes and make the stories a little longer.

10 days. Has it really been only 10 days? It felt like months. It probably felt like an eternity because of the crappy food and the stressful schedule. Nobody ever said running an entire nation was easy. He was pretty miserable. Despite the fact that it had its perks he would still come 'home' every night to an empty bed. He missed her so much it was almost unbearable. He knew this was necessary and that she was safe but still it felt worst than torture. That's why he did not waste anytime on planning his 'death'. The aftermath of the mission was tricky to say the least but with Birkhoff's help he pulled it off. He was now on a jet back home. He smiles at how nice that sounds, home.

When he gets to their loft it's almost midnight. He took a deep breath taking in the familiar scent and sighed in contentment. Carefully setting his things on the floor he made his way to their room. Everything was just the way he left it. He could tell she had tried to spend the least amount of time in there without him. He stood in the doorframe and saw her sleeping. Her hair was messy and she was clutching a pillow tight to her chest. An absolutely adorable sight. He made a mental note of thanking the nerd for covering up for him and telling her that he was arriving the next day. That view right there had made it all worth it, and to be honest he just loved surprising her with little things.

Reaching down his pocket he found two purple wrapped chocolates. Kneeling in front of their bed he placed them on top of the pillow next to her waiting for her to feel his presence. As if on cue she opened her eyes unhurriedly and blinked a couple of times focusing on those bright purple wrappers. A small gasp escaped her lips when realization came upon her. She quickly sat up and threw his arms at him hugging him tightly while repeating oh my god over and over. She was now on his lap and he could feel every inch of her body pressed against his. For a second he even thought he could hear her heartbeat racing.

'Wow I should leave more often and make you miss me this much if that means I'll get this greeting every time.' He joked after she reluctantly let him go.

'Never again, please' was her only answer before crashing her lips to his.

'Never'- He agreed once he caught his breath again. 'Ever'

To be honest I don't know how I feel about this one. It's definitely not one of my favorites but I really hope you still like it. Please be kind and give me some feedback :) Reviews are love (and inspiration)

Love,
