Undeniable

Harry rushed upstairs, trying to avoid anyone and anything in his way, including Ginny. He had to get ready for their big date that night and couldn't afford to be disturbed before then. He had so much to do, and still wasn't sure whether he'd be able to get it done. Tonight was the night that he was finally going to ask Ginny to marry him, and it had to be perfect.

Ginny pulled out her black dress from her closet and brushed off the all of the dust that it had collected over the years. She sighed as she stepped into it, knowing that even in its elegance and seduction couldn't envelope her feelings. She knew that tonight she had to look her best, even when the time came that she told Harry that she had accepted a job in America and though it best that they took a break from each other for a year or two. However, Harry wouldn't know the whole story, the fact that she was in love with another man, particularly one that Harry still wasn't happy with, no matter what her love did.
Harry closed the ring box and looked at his clock. It read 5:45.

I'd better get ready, He thought to himself. He pulled his dress robes out of the plastic that they were so delicately wrapped in. He slowly pulled them on. He went to te mirror as he tried to flatten his hair to his head.

He eventually gave up, and sat on his bed, trying his best not to wrinkle his robes. He picked up the ring box from the nightstand and looked at it one last time before he hopefully slid it onto Ginny's finger.

It was a beautiful ring, with ruby and topaz gemstones carefully set onto the silver band. It was a ring any proud Gryffindor girl could have hoped for, the kind of ring that made any girl faint at the sight of it. He hoped Ginny would love it, but all he could do was hope.

Ginny quickly did her hair in to her signature updo, French-braided into a bun with curls coming out at the ends and a single, curled strand coming down the side of her face. It always looked good in compliance with her fiery red hair.

She gently pulled on a strand of pearls she had received from her great-grandmother a few years ago as her seventeenth birthday gift. She strapped on her sexy heels and gazed into the mirror. What was staring back at her made her do a double take.

It was her, young and beautiful, with a refined black dress and stiletto heels. Yet, at the same time it wasn't her. The woman staring back at her had a gloomy look on her face, but when she looked closely, she could see it was a look of determination.

The woman in the mirror looked like a woman with a purpose for the night that lay ahead of her.

And that's exactly what she was.

A woman with a purpose.

Harry knocked on the door to Ginny's flat. He waited until she came to the door and gave her a kiss as she opened it. Or, at least he tried to. She turned her face away at the last second so that he kissed to door frame instead.

"Can you just wait in the living room? I have to finish something before we leave. Where are we going anyways?" Ginny asked, walking towards her bedroom.

"I can't tell you that! It's a secret. You look beautiful, Gin," Harry replied skillfully.

"Thank you. But, seriously, where are we going?" she tried again.

"I told you, it's a secret!" Harry restated.

"Fine, fine, whatever you say," she said.

When Harry was fairly certain what that Ginny wasn't looking, he pulled out the ring, to make sure he still had it. Of course, little did he know, Ginny was watching him the whole time.

Shit! What am I gonna do now? He's gonna propose and I don't want to marry him! This is just going to make my plan even harder! Oh, my friggin' god! I have to get out of this! Ginny thought to herself, But how? How?!?
