Hello people!~ I'm back with yet another non multi-chapter fic! Yeah... getting pretty lazy aren't we? I have an idea in my head, but it keeps changing! I can't decide! Anyway, this is as weird as my other recent submissions. I wanted to try and see if my writing could make anyone cry. Probably not, cause I suck. Anyway, try to enjoy it!

Disclaimer: Seriously. No.

"She's doing it again..."

"That's the fourth time this week..."

"The poor child..."

"It's been hard on her..."

"Still, locking herself in her room won't help..."

"She admired him..."

"Her sister too..."

Shinn heard those whispers. He felt the glares.

He tried not to care. After all, Meyrin and Zala were traitors. He had to get rid of them.

But as much as he didn't want to care, the older Hawke sister stirred foreign feelings in him.

Guilt. And there was something else...

Love.

He's never seen her cry. She's been so strong. Ever since he met her, he cried when he told her that his family was dead, while she smiled as she told him that she was an orphan too.

She was strong. And he was weak.

That was why his heart broke when she cried on him.

And because he realized that her strangth, her happiness, they were all a facade.

She put up a front for eveyone. She smiled, she laughed. While she cried on the inside.

And as time passed, he knew that she was no longer just a comrade, a friend to him. He loved her.

He loved her.

She hated him.

Love and hate. They were very much alike. While most think that the two were opposite ends of the wheel, Shinn had to admit, he'd be more hurt if she was indifferent towards him.

Because while she hated him,

She loved him.

She couldn't find it in herself to blame him. She finally understood, how much it hurt to lose a sister.

So in her own special way, she cared for him. She would always be by his side. They were inseparable.

Before they knew it, the battle was over. They had lost.

He wondered, what would he do?

He had never thought about it. He had always figured that he would die in the war.

He looks at her, and suddenly, he thinks of his family.

He didn't want to lose her.

He was afraid to love her.

She turns to face him, and gives him a broken smile.

So beautifully broken.

And he knows, that they cannot be.

He walks to her, and kisses her passionately.

As they draw apart, he presses his lips to her ear.

"I never loved you, Luna..."

He turns and walks away. He doesn't look back. He knows that if he sees her face, he won't be able to leave her. And he'll lose her, just like he lost everyone else.

"Liar..."

He hears her whisper, and he imagines her broken smile. She is right, he was a liar.

But he was a liar, for her.

She doesn't stop him as he walks out of her life.

For she knows, that he is broken too.

Crappy, ain't it? XD Review please! Anything! I really need to know how I can improve!
