Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars.

Luke sighed, staring at the surface of the table as he thought. He twirled a piece of his sandy hair between his fingers a sighed again.

"Do you mind?" Han growled, startling the Jedi out of his daze.

"What? Oh, sorry, Han…" Luke said, sitting back in his seat and fingering the top of his lightsaber.

Chewie walked in a moment later and grunted at Han.

"Hold on, hold on, keep your fur on," Han said with a short nod. "We'll leave in a minute."

Chewie barked at him again before walking away. Han moved to stand, but another sigh from Luke made him sit back down impatiently.

"Yes, kid?"

"Where will you go now that war is over?" Luke asked, his tone dull.

"Go on a lousy vacation. I need a break from being chased across the galaxy," the starship pilot answered. He waited a moment before going on, "What about you?"

"I don't know. I just…it sounds stupid, but I just keep wondering what would be different if I weren't a Jedi."

"You'd probably still be stuck in that wasteland you called home."

"Probably." Luke turned his weapon in his hands. "But I have to wonder…would I have a family? Or-"

"You have a family. Leia's your sister."

"You know what I meant."

Han chuckled and ran a hand through his locks before sitting forward and lowering his voice. "Why, kid, what would you want? A family, is that it?"

"I don't know. I just don't know what to do with my life now."

Han grinned. "Like I said…I'm going on vacation."

Luke gave him a suspicious look. "And…?"

Han shifted in his seat and leaned forward to kiss the young Jedi thoughtfully, his lips lingering longer than he meant to. He slowly pulled back, his classic smirk in place. "That's what you could have if you weren't a Jedi."
