"Lost Poem"

by movieholic

Inspiration: English assignment based of an Edgar Allen Poe poem. This was what I came up with.

It happened on a sunny day, streaking through the sky in the month of May,

A red ball of fire in the bluest of sky,

Twisting and turning as it was burning,

Silent screams in anguish of "Why?"

Echoing screams in anguish of "Why?"

The Island wanted them to die.

Metal falling, raining in slivers, landing in various fast-flowing rivers,

The plane tore in two, separated up high,

Connected no more, no longer able to soar,

Crashing to the ground in the blink of an eye,

Sinking into the sand in the blink of an eye,

Because the Island wanted them to die.

Several people began to walk, trying to recover from the shock,

Many of which began to shake and cry,

People follow Dr. Jack, the sudden leader of the pack,

While men like Locke smile with a sigh,

While a man named Locke smiled with a sigh,

Because the Island didn't let him die.

Miles offshore, the Others saw a sight that shook their core,

A burning plane fell from the bluest sky,

Shaking the buildings around as it fell to the ground,

A small man stood and shielded his eyes,

Smiled, and stood, and shielded his blue eyes,

Because the Island didn't want him to die.

End.
