Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts

A/N: I think I posted this in a drabble collection series I had up a long time ago, but took it down cause I lost interest in it and went on to other projects. Anyway, although I lost a good deal of my work—due to a multitude of computer mishaps in the past—luckily, I found that I'd posted this on another site, so I'm resurrecting it for the sake of nostalgia.

BEACH

Roxas hated the beach.

Plain and simple.

He had been dragged out of the safe confines of his air conditioned apartment by his overly ecstatic boyfriend, Axel, to this accursed place. Roxas was never the type of person that enjoyed the feel of sand between your toes, or the feel of the cold ocean water upon your skin when you entered the massive sea. He was perfectly content sitting under an umbrella on a towel reading or doing some type of work the involved brain power.

"Roxassss"

The blond looked up from the book he was reading to see Axel running straight for him, water flying every which way from his untamable hair as it bounced while he ran. He stopped a few steps short of the umbrella to kneel down before Roxas.

"What are you doing being a hermit under this umbrella for? Come on out and swim!"

Roxas grimaced, looking back down at his book, ignoring his boyfriend. "No, you go out and swim. I'm staying right here."

Axel frowned, standing back up. He would get Roxas in the water whether the blond liked it or not! This called for desperate measures, indeed. With a nod, Axel crossed over behind Roxas and out of his field of vision. The blond, unbeknownst to his boyfriend's current plan, went back to reading the book that was currently resting in his lap.

"Eemmh!" Roxas squealed as Axel's arms circled around his waist, and brought him up to rest on his shoulder. The blond dropped his book onto the towel underneath the umbrella, groaning as he hit Axel's back to let him down. "Let me go!" Roxas yelled.

In response, Axel shook his head, his hair flinging sea water against Roxas's cheek. The blond voiced a sound or protest as he tried to push himself off of Axel's shoulder. As the red head advanced toward the sea, the blond continued to whine and protest. It wasn't until Axel was waist deep into the blue water that he let go of Roxas who fell from his shoulder, head first into the cold ocean water. As the blond resurfaced, he shot the red head a glare from beneath his hair that now covered his eyes.

Axel grinned.

"I win!"
