While half asleep; I walked onto the bus, with the Google logo printed on the side. I observed all the people on the bus and unrelenting began to walk to an empty seat, that was until a boy called out to me.
"Come sit next to me, you won't regret it" he said, with a sly smirk on his face. I went over to the seat that I was originally heading towards and saw in the corner of my eye that the boy was getting up. I quickly diverted over to a boy, with a beanie adorned on his head. He seemed too immersed in his phone to really care. He took a quick glance at me and he let out a sigh when I sat next to him.
"Sorry about this, but I didn't want to sit with that prat. Oh I'm Elle if you wanted to know" I said, with a tired smile. He simply nodded and returned back to his phone. I retrieved my iPod from back pack and went to place the headphones on my head, but stopped when he spoke up.
"Stuart. My name is Stuart, now don't talk to me" I smiled brightly and positioned my headphones on my head, answElleg his demand in the process. I focused on the pattern of the seat cover in front me; I let out a slight yawn. My eyes started to droop and before I knew it I was resting on something comfortable.
+Stuart's POV+
I jolted slightly when I felt a weight on my shoulder, I looked at it and saw that the annoying girl, Elle I think it was, sleeping on me. I let her be, if I woke her up she might unleash her inner beast, I don't know how she might react if I woke her up.
"I'm going to call you Stewie and you're going to be my friend, I don't have much of those and the ones who are, want something" she mumbled, in between soft snores. A small smile fell onto my lips, but I quickly diminished it. I can't be friends with anyone; they're all competing with the job that I've worked so hard for.
+Elle's POV+
I was hugging a really soft teddy bear, but that all stopped when someone nudged me awake. I opened my eyes and was facing a blue material; I looked up and realized that the thing I was hugging was not a teddy bear.
"I'm so very sorry! I didn't mean to Stewie- ah I mean Stuart!" he swiftly nodded and I quickly left go of his arm, missing it in a way when I let go.
"I don't like getting hugged and I don't enjoy being called Stewie, so just stick to Stuart. But don't worry it's unlikely that I will ever cross paths with you again. On another note the bus is about to stop so get your things ready" he said. I laughed lightly at his antics.
"Right, we totally won't see each other again. Are you sure you're smart enough for Google, I mean come on; of course we will cross each other's paths again. We're both doing the intern program and who knows we might end up working together in the near future, you're not a prophet so how can you be so sure?" I sneered at him. He just let out an unintelligent noise and went back to his phone; I smirked and looked up at him.
"Besides I meant what I said before, you will be my friend. 'Cause I can see that teddy bear behind that wall you put up" I declared. The bus pulled up and my eyes practically lit up; when I saw the place that I have been dreaming of, ever since I first learnt about the phenomenon called the internet.
