The Best Way To Take Your Medicine

'Three days...it's been three days now since I was brought here.'

Emerald eyes stared out at the lowering sunset. 'He'll be in here soon...to force me to take whatever thing he poses as medicine,' she thought, shutting her eyes in hopes of faking sleep. After all, that worked the last five times he tried to give her the medicine; it should work this time as well.

"I know you're awake, Sakura-san."

'Damn it.'

She opened her eyes to see familiar silver hair and onyx-behind-glass that belonged to the man that was taking care of her. "Kabuto-san," she muttered, looking away quickly, "If you're wanting to give me that...thing you call medicine, I don't want it."

He sighed, "If you want to get better sooner, it's best you take it." "Get better for what? I'm better off healing on my own. It's not like it matters anyway; everyone thinks I'm dead," she replied harshly, looking back out the window.

"Don't you want out of here?"

"Duh."

"Then take the medicine."

"No."

Kabuto sighed again, pushing up his glasses in a lukewarm attempt at trying to hide his growing annoyance with his reluctant patient. "It's not poison, Sakura-san. Why would I poison the one I saved?" he asked. "Why did you even save me in the first place?" she shot back, "We're enemies."

"Medic-nins are bound to help all those that are injured, enemies or allies. Surely you know that."

Silence met the statement. He was right; it was the code she took as when she became an official medic-nin.

He sat down on the edge of the bed, holding a bottle of liquid in his hand along with a small medicine cup. "Now sit up and take this; it'll help with the pain," he said, opening the cap of the bottle and pouring the right amount of the liquid into the medicine cup. Sakura remained in her spot, "I said I'm not going to take it."

"It would make it easier on both of us if you would."

"Who said I would make things easy?"

"Sakura-san, don't make me force you to take it..."

"Like you could."

"Don't tempt me."

"Try it and fail," she replied, effectively silencing him. 'Good job Sakura. Now hopefully he'll shut up and leave me alone,' she congratulated herself, smirking inwardly at her quick bit of cleverness.

She was wrapped in her thoughts that she didn't notice Kabuto drink the medicine and began to lean over her. A thin pink brow was raised as his hand tilted her head to face him, emerald eyes widening quickly as his lips met hers.

'What the hell!?' her mind screamed until her thoughts ran blank, feeling her lips part as a sour cherry-flavored liquid entered. Two gentle fingers ran over the column of her neck, coaxing her to swallow the medicine.

As soon as he could tell the medicine was gone, their lips parted. He only smirked at the bright red blush encased her cheeks, licking his bottom lip that still held a bit of the sour cherry taste.

"Now hopefully you'll be a good girl and take your medicine again in six hours," he said, standing up from the bed and exiting the room. Sakura watched as he closed the door, two fingers unconsciously going toward her lips.

'Hmm...if that isn't the best way to take my medicine, I don't know what else is. Hell, I'd gladly wait six more hours for that!'

She smirked slightly, closing her eyes as she fell into a semi-deep slumber.

Yeah...cheesy, dumb, and pretty much just a useless plot bunny. Well, hope you enjoyed it!
