A.N. I wanted to write this because it's a different couple and there is only like one other story for this pairing. I reckon in an AU story they'd be so cute! Anyways, I'm probably just going to keep this as a One Shot. But I wouldn't be opposed to having an actual story made about this pairing.

Background: Ted and AJ have been friends for years. Ted never married, so he never left the WWE for his family. AU and set in this period of time.

Nothing ran through his brain as he ran down the ramp. Not one thought for television appearances, Authority orders or even his dad's advice went into his mind. Ted's friend was hurt, he needed to help her out. But it would mean a good ten minute lecture (if he was lucky) from his dad about why he shouldn't disobey anything set by Vince McMahon.

Not that Ted cared, of course. If his little friend was in trouble, he'd pick her off the ground every time she fell without a second thought. That was quite literally in this case.

He was slow to approach AJ as she lay on the ground; her eyes closed shut, barely conscious and scratching and clawing at her stomach lightly. To Ted it just seemed like she was almost trying to claw for someone, to AJ, she was just ignoring the pain with something else.

A few rolls over to the ropes and AJ could feel herself almost floating. Almost. She did feel a hand keeping her arm from falling beside her as she was taken somewhere else. Everything had turned off in her head at that moment.

"Jay, Jay wake up." AJ groaned and one of her hands moved to her eyes, rubbing them before they could even start to move open. Eventually they fluttered open, leaving AJ with a fuzzy image of someone leaning over her face, slowly getting clearer.

"Teddy?" AJ felt like she was just waking up from a good dream, the ones where you think you're still dreaming and you can't help but smile.

'Wait, what is he doing here? Where am I?' AJ immediately felt everything hit her at once. It gave her a small headache.

"Teddy!" Ted had to move quickly back to the chair he had been sitting on a few moments ago so he wouldn't be hit in the head when AJ sat up in the bed. He returned to sit on the edge of the bed, holding AJ's shoulders as she adjusted herself in the bed.

"What happened?" Ted couldn't help but smile, a little amnesia was bound to happen with the bump she took, yet she still looked cute when she was totally confused for the moment.

"Your head hit the mat too hard on that moonsault you did. Natalya had to be declared the winner because you knocked yourself out." Ted reached down on the ground and smirked at AJ before pulling something up with him.

It was the Diva's Championship.

"And still your WWE Diva's Champion, AJ!" AJ laughed at her friend's imitation of a ring announcer. She hugged Ted and lay her title beside her.
