Chapter 1:

Starfire could not tell what was wrong with Silkie. He wasn't dead, but he wasn't exactly alive either. She knew quite well that he couldn't be a zombie. Those were only in movies, and stories, even if she did hide under her bed in fear of them attacking at night. Starfire tried feeding him, that didn't work. She tried washing him, that didn't work. "Silkie?" She said. He looked up at her and winked, then closed his eyes. "Nooooo!"

Robin heard her screams next door and giggled with glee. The plan had worked! Now all he had to do was to go into Star's room, comfort her, and she would love him forever and ever. When he got to Starfire's door, he could hear her crying in her room. Knock knock! "Hey, Star, are you in there?" Robin said, with comfort in his tone.

"Yes!" Starfire sobbed.

"Can I come in?"

"Sh-sure R-r-rob-robin," Starfire stuttered through tears. He walked into the room, and saw Starfire on her bed with tears streaming down her face, and Silkie laying dead in her lap. "Hey, Star, are you okay?" Robin asked.

"No! Silkie is dead!" Robin came over and sat on Starfire's bed next to her.

"What do you think we should do with him?" he asked.

"We shall put him in a box and float him out to sea."

"That sounds, like a good plan." Then Robin scooted closer to her, a little bit closer, and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, leaned forward and kissed her on the cheek.

"Robin?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you for comforting me." And she meant it.

Silkie's funeral was grand. If you saw it, you wouldn't think it was one, more of a celebration, I should think. There were cakes and Tofu(mainly of which Beast Boy ate), a big bowl of chilli, some junk for Cyborg, some sort of Tamaranian food, some dark and evil-looking food for Raven, and of course, some healthy things for Robin. Oh, and as for Silkie's box, well it was a huge wooden one covered with jewels and pearls and all sort of lovely things. Then, as the sun was setting, they all went to the shore and Starfire pushed the box out into the water. Prayers and goodbyes were said, and then everyone went back inside to go to bed.

Starfire went to sleep that night far more content than she expected. She also knew she liked Robin alot more. Perhaps even loved him. Just a little comfort could make Star fall in love, as she did with Silkie.
