Quinn and Logan.
Quinn thinks about why she let Logan kiss her on that bench under that tree on that day, that day when she felt like she wasn't good enough. He assured her. His surprising support for her individuality gave her the confidence to believe that she didn't have to change.
She would change. It would be due to Logan's influence too.
After the first kiss Quinn thought about why Logan kissed her. Their relationship up till that point had never encouraged the kiss. Their relationship was simply an association of mutual friends. Quinn knows she would've never been friends with Logan if he hadn't been friends with Chase who was friends with Zoey who was friends with Quinn. From the first day of school both Quinn and Logan has assumed the accepted personas bestowed upon them by high school society. Quinn was bizarre, nerdy freak because she acted, dressed, and experimented weirdly. Logan was a popular, cocky jock because he had sports talent, smooth-talking abilities, and a rich dad. Where could've they found common ground to start a relationship if not brought together by mutual friendships?
Quinn was discovering that she had more in common with Logan than she thought.
First, there was the shared desire for each other and the inability of either of them to explain it. The attraction that made Logan kiss Quinn seems unexplainable. Where did it come from? Quinn thinks she would conduct an experiment but she wouldn't know where to begin. Quinn begins to notice how the little things Logan does, like his cool assumption that his friends will help him in any situation or his competiveness with Zoe for school leadership, these things charm her. She can't help but be charmed, he is so unflappable in his belief that things will go well for him. Somehow she has come into that circle of good luck that Logan depends on effortlessly.
Somewhere between Eskimo kisses and secret meetings Quinn finds something in Logan she didn't know was there: a friend. She didn't know that there could be more than desire between them, but apparently she was wrong. Time revealed similarities in their personalities, in ways that Quinn could never discover through experimentation.
Quinn saw the same aloofness in Logan that she felt on a day-to-day basis. She noticed that he was never deeply involved with anyone: all of his relationships were light and superficial. She likes that he can separate himself from other people, and she wonders why he's like that. If she had known she would have discovered so many interesting things about Logan she may have initiated a relationship earlier. He fascinated her. Even his immaturity made her wonder. Was Logan afraid to grow up? She thought she was, but ever since she got involved with Logan being herself seemed a lot easier. Quinn likes how Logan is overly confident with himself. Within his influence she feels the confidence filling her up too. It makes her want to experiment with her own identity. If Quinn can fall for Mr. Popular, why couldn't she be more socially accepted.
