"I can't believe I'm finally going to Hogwarts!" Albus Potter said excitedly, looking up from his letter. "I can," his brother James said grumpily. "James, don't be rude," said their father, Harry, taking the Floo powder
and throwing it into the fireplace. "Come on!"
They had reached Diagon Alley, where Lily and Ginny were waiting for them. James ran off to Quality Quidditch Supplies, followed by his mother and sister, while Harry and Albus went to Gringotts.
"Woah," said Albus as they stepped through the doors. Gringotts was an absolutely magnificent place. It had been built completely out of marble. "Dad, what are those?" "Goblins," Harry said. "Clever creatures, don't get on
their bad side, it won't turn out good." A rather large man was in front of them, Albus noticed. "Hagrid!" Harry greeted the man. "Why, hello, Harry," said Hagrid. "How's yer family?" "Good thanks," Harry said. "Hello, Al!" Hagrid said, turning
to Albus. "Is this yer firs' time a' Diagon Alley?" "No," said Albus. "Well then, yeh mus' be familiar with the place. Got ter go, Harry. McGonagall needs this." Hagrid patted the little package in his hand. "Is that another you-know-what?"
Harry asked. "Well, I guess yeh could say tha'," said Hagrid. "Bye, now!" "Bye Hagrid!" "Is he keeping something from me?" Albus thought. "I mean, the way he said 'you-know-what' was pretty secretive. There has to be somethingin that package."
"I don't ever want to ride this cart again," Albus decided as they sped down the track. "Al, you look ill," said Harry. Albus had turned a shade of green and felt like he was about to vomit. Harry must have read
this, because he conjured a bucket and handed it to Albus. Albus emptied the bucket on the side of the rails. "Slow down, Griphook," said Harry, then realized who he was talking to. "One speed only," the goblin said.
