It had been a while since the incident at Sealview correctional facility; Olivia had been having some troubles lately, with Life in general. She had been so busy with all her cases and surely could have passed as an insomniac. Pushing aside the fact that she was assaulted undercover not too long ago, Olivia was fine. Elliot had been away for 2 days with his kids, because Kathy decided that he deserved some time with them. Olivia had been working on several cases on the past week, By Herself and was exhausted. Olivia walked out of the precinct at around 7 o'clock, and headed home. Nothing was different. Same Apartment, Same loneliness. This was something Detective Benson was rather familiar with. One day she would find that special man, although she didn't realise there was one that really cared about her, and would sacrifice anything to save her. He would be back tomorrow, which would probably take a large load off her back at work. As Olivia walked over to the kitchen to make herself a coffee, she heard a knock at the door..."Liv?", "Just a second!" She opened the door to see Elliot smiling at her. "What happened to the kids? I thought you wouldn't be back until tomorrow" "Kathy suddenly decided she wanted them back for the night, I thought it was quite inconsiderate seeing I hardly see them anymore. They've grown so much. I miss them already" Elliot sat down on the sofa. "Sorry, El. I'm sure they miss you just as much if not even more. You wanna coffee?" "Yeah, Thanks. How's work going? I feel like I've missed out on so much." "You are lucky. It's been hectic. I'm so glad you're back. I think I have finally done my head in. Several cases in just a week in a half." "Wow. You really have been working hard." She handed him his coffee and sat down next to him. "Don't I always?" Olivia Smiled. He reached over and tucked a piece of stray hair behind her ear. Olivia looked away slightly blushing. "You know Liv, I was only away for 1 night, but I really missed you. I missed how you make my coffee too." He smirked. "I missed you too. It's Hard not working with your own partner. I feel invisible, like no-body cares. I have no family and no-one to be with; I don't really know what's worth living for anymore except you and my job. "Don't say that. You are an amazing person. That's not true. Everybody cares about you and especially me. Apart from my kids, you are basically the only person I give a damn about, without you I would be nothing. You are my best friend and you deserve the best." "You really know how to cheer a girl up don't you." "I have teenage daughters. You learn." They both laughed for a moment until there was silence. He looked into her eyes. "How's your coffee?" "Perfect." Obviously Olivia's attempt to change the subject didn't work successfully. "I should get home before it gets too late. It's already ten...Early start in the morning as usual." They stood up. "Yeah I guess so for me too. Remind me to update you in the morning on what's going on, okay?" "Yeah I will." She smiled and opened the door. Elliot Pulled Olivia into his arms. "Keep yourself together, eh? If not for yourself, for me." She hugged him back. "I'll try." He smiled and walked down the hall. It wasn't Often that Elliot would open himself and express his emotions towards Olivia. he would usually just bottle them out and later on let his rage deal with it. Maybe it was that he missed his children. Olivia went inside and shut the door. As she got in bed she could see the photo of her and the squad out for a drink. She reminded herself that she does have a family, And she wasn't always completely alone.
She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep.
