AN: Sorry! I've been busy lately and I think that if I disregard my academics for even a moment I'll kill myself later on, trying to catch up. So much work, so little time! I'll try my best to update pre-written work, and maybe earlier stories to replace newer ones for now. Once my work load lessen up I'll continue on Entry Series and the whatnot but for now it is on hold. I'm deeply sorry ToT
( Don't Keep Me Waiting )- 80XReader
He looked around the serene and busy park, all sounds blocked from his ears.
He was searching for her lost figure today.
She was always visible to him; he doesn't even have to try and locate her exact location among the bustling crowd.
There was no one else like her, no one that could compare in his eyes.
Her slender form, soft and gentle touch, dazzling smile; she amazed everyone around her.
But most of all, her intense eyes; they stare into him as if they were piercing through him.
And there were times that they were sparkling, blissful and soft enough to draw out a smile from him.
And here he is, pacing around their favorite spot, frantically searching for her.
Where is she…?
Where's her figure?
Where's her gaze?
Where's her touch?
Where's her smile?
Where is she?
And he's waiting for the moment when she'll run towards him,
Out of breath,
Apologizing for being late,
Laughing at her mistake,
Gazing at him,
Waiting for his memorable laugh.
He's waiting for the day that he'll shake the anxiety off like it's nothing,
Walking the same path of life with her,
Hands interlace,
A smile on their faces.
But he can't help but worry right now.
She's late.
Oh, so late.
Too late.
Where could she be?
What happen to her?
Did something happen to her?
He can't help but think of all the horrible possibilities.
Late?
Something came up?
Car crash?
Kidnapped?
Rape?
Maybe even
death?
He doesn't think anymore,
And just keeps pacing,
Keeps worrying,
Keeps hoping nothing bad happen to her.
But the thoughts don't go away.
A familiar voice brings him out of dread.
He hears his name being called out,
He looks up,
Sees her [h/c] hair from the mass of people,
Sees a hand waving towards him,
And he smiles.
She's here.
Who knew waiting for a date could be so terrifying?
