I was looking over the side of Appa's saddle, staring down below at the clouds as Aang and I passed over them on our journey back home to the southern water tribe.

Aang and I. Just us.

We were alone together for the entire flight home. And I just stared out to the clouds below us, only remembering the great times Aang and I had had up here. Bending the clouds at Aunt Wu's village. Watching him jump off Appa and through the clouds. Soaring through the fire nation with one as camouflage. So many fun times in the clouds.

Clouds. Water and air. Me and Aang. I stared down into the clouds, not knowing what was happening, just enjoying the moment.

"Katara. Hey, Katara, wake up." I heard his voice. His magnificent voice. I looked up to see where the voice was coming from, and sure enough, there he was. Aang.

"You've been asleep a while." He said to me. I yawned as he came over and sat down beside me, wrapping his arm around my waist and looking deep into my eyes, and I into his.

"I love you." I said to him, as he slowly leaned forward, closing his eyes...

"I love you too, Katara."

Katara. My name.

"Katara..."

And he leaned in to kiss me, but it never happened.

"Katara..."

Katara. My name.

And this time he kissed me. And it was real.
