Yellow
".........yes, yellow as in the coldplay song. Please R&R!!!"
Spencer Reid smiled as he looked up into the sky filled with bright stars. He was in an abandoned tree house with his colleague, Prentiss. They both had had a hard time coping with their last case- where an UnSub had shot and killed four children in front of their own eyes. But now, as child-ish as it may have sounded to them, they were hanging out in an old tree house, and gazing up at the stars above them. Who ever said adults had lost their happiness when they grew out of childhood, was right. Neither Prentiss or himself could be happier right now anyplace else in the world. The innocence had been restored, the stars were shining, and the sky only illuminated their beauty.
For once in Emily Prentiss' life, she felt like a child again. Her young colleague, Spencer Reid, had found the tree house in a forest area, and had dragged her there, all the while laughing. They had ate gunny worms and ice cream, played hide-and-go-seek, and even a round of tag. She smiled as the perfect moment sunk into place, and the sound of their laughter echoed one last time.
They both enjoyed the worry-free moment, knowing it wouldn't last long. Reid took Prentiss' hand into his own as they both watched the moonlight reflect across the lake that lay in front of them- a few miles away, but still visible from the tree house. Everything in that moment in time was perfect, and neither Reid or Prentiss were ready to let that go quite yet. Silently, Prentiss yawned, and Reid crawled closer to her. He wrapped his arms around her torso, and held her tight against his body. Prentiss smiled, and let her eyes close. Together, both Prentiss and Reid fell to sleep as the moon forever reflected the perfect scene against the water- knowing that when the sun rose once again, the moment would pass, and the misery would return. But for now, mercy took pity on them, and let them sleep in peace.
"......ok, i hope that didnt suck!!! please R&R!"
