Accidentally On Purpose
Summary: Damon and Pearl are talking business in the woods when Damon decides to be ridiculously bold. Damon/Pearl.
Accidentally On Purpose
Pearl was standing in the forest, waiting for Damon to show. The sun was setting. Where WAS he? Pearl sighed impatiently and turned around, coming face to face with the elder Salvatore.
"It's about time." Pearl said curtly. Damon walked to the other side of her and lounged against the tree. He noticed her like he'd never noticed her before. Was it because the sunset was shining on her beautiful face, making it shine? Maybe. The orange and pinkish rays caught on every little strand of hair, giving it a gorgeous tinge.
"Damon? Back to business." Pearl said.
Damon snapped out of staring at her, even though he didn't want to. "Oh, right. So, what are we gonna do about him?"
Pearl stared at him, exasperated. "I just asked you that."
Damon flushed. "Oops. Sorry, I wasn't paying attention."
Pearl raised an eyebrow. "Why not? What were you thinking about?"
You...Damon thought. "Nothing." He said aloud.
Pearl crossed her arms over her chest, not amused.
"Look, Pearl." Damon said. "All this talk of John Gilbert and the device is VERY interesting but...I was wondering if I could try something?"
Pearl cocked her head slightly to the side, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "I suppose."
Damon took a few steps towards her and, before she could fully process what was happening, pressed his lips to hers in a gentle kiss.
Pearl's lovely eyes fluttered shut as he put his arms around her, deepening the kiss. But then her eyes opened and widened considerably. What was she DOING? She pulled away, even though she didn't want to and turned so she was facing away from him.
He asked "Is something wrong?"
"N-no." Pearl lied, feeling her cheeks grow hot. "I just need to get going. See you around." She hurried off. When she was far enough away, she leaned against a tree and touched her lips, a small smile gracing them.
Back in that spot, Damon smiled. He had enjoyed it immensely. Good thing he decided to be bold accidentally on purpose.
