This story at first was a small collection of ideas that I had, and then it became this. Leave me a review; let me know what you think!

"You're really lucky that bomb didn't detonate closer to you, or else you would have some pretty serious injuries," Carson says, looking at his two newest patients.

Earlier that day, some of the people down in tech found an ancient bomb that was triggered somehow, and was due to go off shortly. Sheppard and Finn, who both had the ancient gene, decided to investigate it, sure that they could dismantle it. They got the bomb deactivated in time, but it was linked to another smaller bomb, that wasn't close to them, but close enough that they got thrown a small distance from the blast.

As Carson was listing off the injuries they did manage to get (a few bruised ribs, a few scrapes, a slight concussion), they were both lying in beds, for a mandatory one-night stay in the infirmary.
"Really, Carson, is it necessary to keep us here? The scanners showed no serious injuries, and sleeping in my quarters is way more comfortable then the infirmary," John said, a bit annoyed at the current situation.
"Yes," Carson replied, "It is. I don't want either of you walking around with a concussion. Fainting and bruising yourself further won't do you any good."
"Fine, but I still have mission reports to do, can I at least have someone to come down here and bring me my laptop?"
"No, I'm afraid not, rest is the only thing you'll be doing right now," Carson said.
John then turned onto his side, sighing, and showing his annoyance to the doctor's orders.
Carson then walked over to Finn's bed, saying, "I want you to stay in bed too. No sneaking out when I go back to my office."
Finn, rolling her eyes, said, "Fine, I guess. Not too sure I could get past that the guards, anyway," pointing at the marines by the main entrance to the infirmary.
He then reached under the green hospital blanket, grabbing her hand and giving it a light squeeze, saying quietly: "And I guess we'll have to postpone that first date for another time, eh?"
"Yeah, I wouldn't want to pass out on you, that wouldn't be fun."
"Aye," he replies, "So why don't you get some rest, and I promise you that tomorrow night, I'll make us a nice dinner."
"That's a deal", she says, smiling sleepily, as the medications she got earlier began to take effect. He gave her a smile in return, giving her hand another small squeeze, and then walking back to his office.
