Bodies littered the ground everywhere she looked. Blood stained where she walked, as some fell from her own wounds. She had just finished off the sword-wielding teen, and she had to get to him. She couldn't lose him, not when she lost him once already.

She staggered to the battle site where he and their other teammate were fighting to the death. She hoped she made it in time. She couldn't lose him. She fell to her knees, coughing up blood, with her vision wavering. She heard someone shout her name, but she ignored it, and forced herself to stand. She couldn't waste a second; she had to get to him.

She forced herself to run in the direction of the fighting. She ducked under stray kunai, but kept going. Tears blurred her vision, but she spotted him.

"Sasuke!" she shouted, jumping in front of the Chidori he was aiming to hit Naruto with.

Crimson eyes widened at the sight of foggy green eyes. "Sakura," he whispered, cutting off chakra to his attack.

She grasped the hand in her chest, blood pouring from her mouth. "S-Sa-Sasuke," she whispered, leaning towards him and planting a kiss to his lips, leaving her blood on them, painting them crimson.

She felt so cold, oh so cold. Darkness creeped in on her vision, as a smile graced her bloody lips. She held on for a few more moments, she had to tell him, but Death was steadily pulling her away from him. She mouthed the three words she always wanted to tell him. She couldn't even say them in her last breaths, but she knew he felt her lips say them. With her last breath, she fell from his arm.

I love you.
