Sherry leaned back in her pastel purple bean bag chair with a sigh. It was raining outside and there was nothing to do inside. She had already cleaned up her toys and coloring books, and per her mother's constant asking, so there was nothing else she could do. Her father had the television in the common room, her mother occupied the kitchen and wouldn't let Sherry in incase she hurt herself. A soft dinging could be heard from the front door.

"I got it!" Sherry shouted as she bolted for the front door.

"Sherry, wait!" her mother called, running after her. "It could be strangers, do not open that door."

"But mom," Sherry half whined. "It's not strangers, its only-" she yanked the door opened and smiled.

"Hey Sherry."

"Jake." Sherry reached for his hand to drag him inside the house. "Hello, mister Wesker. Thanks for bringing Jake over."

Something of a grunt could be heard from the man, so the children took that as an okay to go into the other room. Annette sighed.

"William, why didn't you get the door?"

William looked dumbstruck for a moment. "Sherry's a big girl. I think she handled it quite well, turning the knob and all."

Sherry lead Jake into her play room. The two windows were closed, leaving a humid feel to the room.

"I'll take your coat for you." Sherry reached out towards Jake, waiting for his coat.

"Thanks," came the short reply. Jake meant to toss the article of clothing over to her, but he threw it too hard and it hit Sherry in the face. She shunk to the ground, the coat falling off of her and to the plush carpet.

"Why-" she sobbed, covering her face with her hands and turning away from him.

"Sherry I didn't mean to! Honest!" Jake tried to get her to look at him but she just wouldn't.

"C'mon, your mom's gonna come in here and be mean to me if you don't stop." Jake was in the middle of prying the crying girl's hands away from her face when she suddenly lurched forward, tackling him to the ground.

"Why, you little buttface!" Shouts and giggles could be heard from the living room, along with objects falling.

"Jake!" Sherry gasped, trying to push the mighty redhead off of her. "I can't breathe!" She laughed, trying to catch her breath.

"Never!" Jake howled, tickling Sherry harder, her face going red.

The two didn't hear footsteps approaching the room.

"Jacob!"

"Whaaaat?" he whined, giving Sherry a chance to push him off of her.

Annette came in and picked Sherry up off the floor and straightened her clothes, making sure she was alright. Once Sherry was settled down Annette shot Jake a look. He sat still.

"Why must you always be so rough with her? She's half your size," she scolded.

"But we were just playing," they both said at the same time.

"'Sides, she's Supergirl, she can handle anything!"

"Yeah!" Sherry shot her right fist out while her left flew in the air, striking a pose. "I can take him!"

Annette just looked at the two and stood up. "Alright, but don't be so loud."

"Okay!" they both shouted simultaneously before tackling each other to the ground again.
