Hello hello! This is my second story on this website! It's not really a story but more like a one-shot I guess. (lol) Anways, I'm in love with the fannon-couple Sima Shi x Wang Yuanji...BUT historically Sima Zhao and Wang Yuanji end up together so I decided to make a story of the woe-some life of love unanswered.
Review and please critic! As an inexperienced writer I wish to develop even more and create a story that's readable to everyone!
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Sima Shi, Zhang Chunhua, Wang Yuanji, Sima Zhao, or Sima Yi, they belong to the fabulous Koei~!
Happy reading! \(^ u^*\ )
Unrequited Love
"On the streets, unrequited love and death go together almost as often as in Shakespeare."
- Scott Turow
Sima Shi stood against the pillar with arms crossed as he stared at the beautiful Yuanji, eyeing in fascination, while his younger brother stood beside her with that childish smile of his. The thought of Zhao standing beside Yuanji caused the love-stricken Sima to grunt and turn the other direction, trying to forget any feelings that were growing with each glance. After all he couldn't fiddle with this emotion known as "Love" not at all when "Fate" has already decided for his brother and Yuanji to be wed quite soon.
"Shi, what seems to bother you?" It was his father's voice.
"Father…" Shi merely returned, "Nothing…I was too busy lost in thought on devising a strategy for future battles." Lies.
His father gave a hum of amusement and replied, "I see…Carry on then, if your mother asks about my whereabouts do not tell her…I do not wish to see her at the moment." Sima Yi sighed in annoyance before fanning himself and taking his leave.
"Of course, Father." Sima Shi returned as he gave a subtle bow before continuing on his stroll.
"Shi, where is your father?" Speak of the devil; Zhang Chunhua has appeared from the other corridors and asked for her husband's appearance.
"Mother…good afternoon, and I have no clue. He must have gone without telling anyone." The good-son Shi answered as she cracked a sly smirk.
"You are a good son Shi. Surely your father told you to keep a secret…no?" She questioned, hitting right the target. "But I'm afraid even you cannot fool me, not even your father could—now, Shi where is he?"
Shi sighed in annoyance and answered his mother before trouble brewed and he was caught up in it. "He must be heading down to the market place to see if there's any more of that tea drink."
"Thank you Shi, take care." Zhang Chunhua replied, gifting a loving motherly smile before making her way down the corridor behind Shi.
Continuing along his path the wise-son Shi sighed once more, not in annoyance but in woe. As his thoughts began focusing on the beloved Yuanji and her laughter, smile, intelligence, and beauty, however, he shook his head as if he knew it was a sin to be in love with his brother's fiancée. After all "Fate" has decided it already, nothing can change the page of history now.
"Fate…" The saddened-Sima whispered as he extended his hand towards the falling cheery-tree petals. "I cannot meddle with Yuanji's fate…" With that said he clenched his hands into a fist and bit his lower lip before making his way back towards the chamber.
