Hey beautiful readers. This is my first Grey's fic, but not my first fanfic. I had this idea the other day, and decided to write it and publish it. It's a one-shot, but I have thought of continuing. Not very far though.

She immediately felt relief at the sight of her wife when the elevator doors opened. Her miraculous wife, who for seven days she had been forced to be without. she drowned out the sounds of shouts and screams to just her wife's breathing. The continuous breaths that she thanked Heaven were there. Callie had absolutely no idea what she would do without Arizona. Arizona was her life, the only reason she willed herself to get up every morning. She had never felt this way before and she would never feel this way with anyone else.

She moved on auto-pilot. She didn't know how she got to where she was, but all that mattered was that she was with her wife. Nothing else mattered at all.

They had sedated Arizona for the plane ride, but she was due to wake up soon. Blood poured from her body and splashed onto the tile floors. Nothing was right. But then Callie saw it. She saw the deep blue eyes she'd been missing so much.

Now it was just Callie and Arizona. It seemed like they were the only ones in the room, everyone disappeared. "I'm right here Arizona. I've got you, nothing's going to happen. I've got you. You're going to be fine."

A faint nod came from Arizona before a harsh cough wracked her body, and blood spurted up from her gaping mouth.

More shouts came, but once again they were drowned out. "I love you, Calliope," Arizona whispered.

"I love you too. You're going to be fine. I promise. I won't let anything happen to you. I love you."

"Don't-don't let them take m-my leg. I want m-my leg."

A pause, then came the only thing Arizona wanted to hear. "I promise."

Tears poured out of Arizona's eyes at those words. Another cough, a jolt, and more blood caked the white room. Everyone was working their hardest, but despite their efforts, it seemed like nothing was working.

Arizona was getting even worse.

Her eyelids were drooping and death was just minutes away. There was nothing anyone could do. Arizona's fate was settled. She had lost too much blood, and the weather conditions for the past seven days proved too much. She was dehydrated, and no matter what, her leg would have to be removed. She was dying.

Maybe it was for the best. She wouldn't have to suffer, and she would die a hero for keeping Mark alive. She was a good man in a storm. She could finally be amongst her brother, Tim, and Nick, her rock; her best friend.

"I love you Arizona. Never forget that," Callie said to her.

"I love you too. Don't let Sophia forget about me, and take care of her just like we planned. I don't want any differences just because I've gone. Take her to the park more. She loved the park. Loves it. And, I love you. I love you."

They both knew it was coming. They both knew it was inevitable. She only had minutes left, if that. Tears escaped both of their eyes. This was the last they would ever see each other. These were the last words said to each other, the last touch they'd ever have. Their last kiss, long ago. Their last everything.

5:13 p.m.

Blue eyes went gray.

Eye lids shut.

Pulse stopped.

"I love you Arizona Robbins." Then Callie dipped her head and put her lips to the frozen lifeless ones. "I'm so sorry."

Dr. Arizona Robbins died in Callie Torres' arms. Their last embrace. Their last everything.

So, tell me what you think please! I'd really like to know and like to know if I should add one or two chapters.

See you possibly later!
