"Hey honey! How was your day?" I ask, opening the door for Scorpius, "I've cleaned up the house,"
"Hey Rosie," He smiles before looking at me quizzically, "Why did you clean the house?"
"Oh," I laugh and roll my eyes, "I was thinking of inviting Dom and Ly over tomorrow, you know? To get together for dinner,"
"We've got dinner at my parent's place," Scorpius says blankly. I stare at him.
"What?" I demand.
"Remember, Rose?" He asks bluntly.
"I do not, Scorpius Malfoy!" I yell, flicking my wand around violently in my hand.
"Bloody Hell, Rose," He groans.
"Excuse me? What did you just say?" I ask.
"Give it a rest," He smirks. I stamp my foot.
"No!" I yell. I know I'm behaving like a little kid, but he has infuriated me.
"Rose, you're giving me a headache," He moans, slamming the door.
"But," I'm lost for words, "No. We can't go see your parents!"
"Why not?" He demands, "We see your family three times a week! Why not mine?" He storms out of the living room, knocking over my crystal ball and causing there to be clutter everywhere.
I bend over and pick up the pieces of the shattered ball. The one he gave me for my birthday.
"I'm sorry," I whisper, even though I know he won't hear me. I scoop the shattered glass into my best china bowl that was a housewarming present from Grandma Molly.
I suppose that's how easily a Malfoy and Weasley's relationship can shatter.
