I haven't written anymore of this yet, but if it comes to pass that someone should want me to, I will. Lemme know.
Amy was kidnapped on November 26th, 2012.
Rory couldn't figure out what to do. For some reason, he couldn't get a hold of the Doctor, by means usual and unusual alike. The police had no leads, and Rory was fed up.
So he took matters into his own hands.
Tentatively, he rang the bell outside a small building. He wasn't waiting long before a older woman answered, smiling at him. "Hello, dear," she said kindly.
"I uh - I called ahead?"
"You Williams, then? Yes, John told me about you." She nodded at him, still smiling, and beckoned for him to follow. She led him up the stairs and down a bit of hall before knocking on the door labeled 'b'.
"Are you boys there?" She asked, sounding confused. A shuffling noise could be heard inside. Then a small crash. The lady pursed her lips.
A shortish blonde man finally pulled the door open. "Hullo, Mrs. Hudson," he said to the woman before turning to Rory.
"It's the Williams fellow you told me to look out for," she said by way of introduction. Then she peered into the flat. "What have you done to my wall?"
The blonde man shrugged. "He was bored," he explained, gesturing Rory inside, closing the door on Mrs. Hudson.
"Sorry about that. I'm John, John Watson."
"Oh. I'm Rory." They shook hands.
John showed him to a seat then turned toward the window, crossing his arms. "Sherlock. He's here."
Rory jumped. He wasn't aware there was anyone else in the room.
Where previously he had been sitting absolutely still, facing the window, a tall, skinny man stood, circling his chair with a sigh. He was holding a violin but no bow. He took in Rory with a piercing gaze. Rory had the uncomfortable feeling of a frog pinned down for dissection.
Rory broke the silence. "Look, my wife - "
"Kidnapped. You said so on the phone." The tall man rolled his eyes and plucked at his violin.
"Sherlock," said John warningly. "Hear him out."
The tall man - Sherlock - sighed infintessimally. "Very well," he conceded.
Rory nodded. "My wife, Amy, was kidnapped a couple weeks ago. Police can't figure it out, I can't reach the Doctor - "
"What doctor?" Asked John.
"The Doctor. He's - a family friend - "
"In a blue box!" Sherlock laughed and stood up straight for the first time Rory had seen thus far.
"Uh, yeah. How'd you know that?"
Sherlock ignored his question. "Rory Williams, I will take the case."
