White flurries flash by her, carried by the force of a roaring wind. Korra hopped around up and down, her feet close together on top of the snow in the clearing of a forest. She threw a punch. Sweat flew off her arm and immediately hardened to ice before shattering again on the ground. She threw another punch, still hopping around. Despite the biting wind her whole body was covered in a thick layer of musty liquid salt. She punched again.

"Fire," she growled.

Korra threw an upper cut, hoping flames would come out. She punched so hard it felt like something had broken in her elbow. Korra stomped her feet on the ground yelling. She ran at a tree and punched it. Air swirled around her rotating fist and bursted forward on point of impact, splitting the trunk in two while taking out a huge chunk of it at the same time.

"Why the fuck does air still work?"

She stomped both feet into the ground shoulder length apart. She twisted them sideways and front again while lowing her waist into a horse stance. She felt no connection to the earth. There was nothing there. Despite that she punched forward and slightly up. She saw nothing move besides her hand. She chambered her hand back to her sides, She raised both of them with all the muscles and dropped her arms back down.

"FUCK YOU AMON!" She yelled in the sky.

With strenuous effort she raised both of her arms in the air once more. She pulled at the muscles in her arms, legs, abs, butt, neck, head, fingers and toes. She raised all the energy above her head. In her mind a tidal wave rose from the snow. Instead she fell to her knees. Two lines of freezing tears fell down her face.

Korra stood up. The cold wind scraping her damp face chilled her like never before. It invaded the skin and sent knifelike wounds to her bones. She took a step forward with one foot. She barely held herself up. Korra took another. She felt like a lumbering rhino. She took another and another. It hurt in her heart and in her body. Her fuck this world I'm a woman aura could not understand it. More tears fell. THIS IS NOT FAIR. I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE AVATAR. How do I fail to the first villain? Fuck his pretty face. A bubble floated up from her stomach to her throat. She swallowed it back down. It left a burning sensation.

She wished the world, would go blurry, that she could just pass out, but the world around her was crisp and clear. She felt the wind. She could track each individual snowflake.

"A fuckton of training, for nothing, for a failure."

She crept closer and closer to the peak in the mountain. Korra stood at the edge. She looked down. The peak was too high up to see her reflection, she instead appeared as tiny as a snowflake in the wide ocean. She laughed.

"That's who I am now."

Korra fell on her butt and curled her legs in her frozen arms. All it would take is to jump, she told herself. Korra sighed. She could not even do that. She was not brave enough, strong enough, smart enough. She was now and forever a commoner. Good job Korra, Enjoy your life as Lame ass Mako's wife.

A pillar of water jumped up from the sea like the wings of a bird. Korra hopped up, but not fast enough. The liquid feathers wrapped themselves around her, snatching Korra from the peak into the sea below. She tried to pull herself out. Water no longer obeyed her. She did not even have time to breath. Water filled her lunges. She struggled fruitlessly. Air bend! I can air bend! She spread her arms and began to rotate. Korra blacked out cold before anything could come of it.
