"Daniel, your father and I are going out tonight. That means you're getting a babysitter." Mom Tiger told 4-year-old Daniel. Daniel smiled.

"Is Prince Tuesday gonna be my babysitter?" He asked.

"Not tonight, Daniel. Prince Tuesday is busy with Royal chores. Someone else is going to be your babysitter." Dad Tiger said as he walked into the living room. Daniel grew worried.

"A new babysitter? But I don't want a new babysitter."

Dad Tiger chuckled. "Don't worry, Daniel. Someone very special is going to be your babysitter." Just then, the doorbell rang. "That must be him."

Daniel hid behind his mom as his dad opened the door. Standing there was a tall, teenage jaguar in a green t-shirt, jeans, and green sneakers. Daniel gasped.

"Cousin Liam!" He claimed, rushing towards the new arrival. Liam Jaguar was Daniel's oldest cousin. He lived far away, so Daniel didn't see him very much. Liam smiled as he hugged Daniel.

"Hey, Danny. Man, you sure have grown since I last saw you. You sure are big and strong." The jaguar said. Daniel flexed his arms.

"I am big and strong." He said proudly. His parents chuckled.

"Ok, Daniel, we're going now. Be good for Liam, ok?" Dad Tiger asked.

"Wait! You'll come back, right?" He asked.

"Of course, my little tiger. Grown ups always come back. Besides, Liam will take good care of you. Promise." Dad Tiger replied. Daniel hugged his parents goodbye, a little sad.

When they were gone, Liam put his around Daniel's shoulders. "Hey, cheer up, little cousin. Your parents will come home when you're asleep and kiss you goodnight. But until then, why don't we play a little?" He suggested. Daniel perked up.

"Good idea! Let's make believe we're two adventurers in an ancient temple!" Daniel exclaimed. He closed his eyes, wiggled his ears, and made believe. Suddenly, he and Liam were traveling through a temple, dressed like archeologists. They made their way to the center of the temple, where the Azure Idol of Tigeria sat.

"Careful, Danny. The temple could be trapped." Liam warned.

"Then I guess I should use my super-long rope!" Daniel took the rope from his bag, fashioned a loop at the end, and tossed it with all his might. He retrieved the idol with ease! "We got it! We got it!" Daniel exclaimed. He closed his eyes, wiggled his ears, and he was suddenly back in the living room, his stuffed tiger, Tigey in his hands.

"That was fun, wasn't it?" Liam asked. Daniel nodded, then yawned. "Uh-oh, looks like Adventurer Daniel needs to find the Trolly Bed of the Ancient Tigerites." the teen joked. Daniel nodded. He led Liam into his bedroom.

"Okay, cuz. Which PJ's would you like?" Liam asked.

"Trolly ones, please?" Daniel asked sleepily. Liam handed Daniel his Trolly PJ's. Daniel went to his bathroom to change. A few minutes later, he came out and went to his bed. Liam drew the covers up to Daniel's chin and tucked him in.

"Want me to sing a song for you?" Liam asked. Daniel nodded. Liam smiled as he began to sing.

"Good night, Daniel, close your eyes. Sleep in peace until you rise. Though most of the time, we are apart, your cousin loves you with all his heart."

Daniel and Liam rubbed noses. "Ugga-mugga, Liam." Daniel yawned.

"Ugga-mugga, Danny. I'll see you again soon. I promise." Liam kissed the top of Daniel's head as the little tiger fell fast asleep.

The next morning, Daniel saw a note addressed to him on his bedside table.

Dear Danny,

I really enjoyed babysitting you. I enjoyed it so much that I'm thinking of moving to your neighborhood. That way, we can see each other more. I love you, little cousin.

Your cousin,

Liam Jaguar
