Title: Always
Pairing: Hikaru x Kaoru
Hikaru and I are hesitant in our new situation. After fifteen years in an orphanage, you begin to lose hope of ever being adopted. But…we were.
Mori, Hunny, Haruhi, Hikaru, and I were adopted by a young homosexual couple. Not one of us minded their relationship, the two were great people. The blond one named Tamaki was eccentric and annoying, but caring and soft hearted. The man with glasses called Kyoya, or Kyo-chan by Tamaki, seemed greedy and cold, but within the last month I had learned that he was indeed helpful and selfless. I only hoped Hikaru could accept the two like I have.
Ever since we were little, Hikaru and I had always been exceptionally close. We had no parents and were fine with only each other. That stayed true as we grew older. The two of us created our own little world, a place where no one else could possibly reach. All the others outside of our world were considered stupid; if they couldn't tell two separate people apart, they weren't worth our time. Surely not.
However when Haruhi joined the orphanage, she was easily able to tell us apart. With that person entering our world we slowly opened our world to others. Thankfully our 'brothers' Mori and Hunny had been two that we became friends with.
The problem is, immediately when Tamaki and Kyoya took us in Hikaru shut the doors to our world, and tried desperately to secure the others inside with us. I think he was afraid of getting them taken away. Afraid that Tamaki and Kyoya would steal what friends we had. He didn't understand that our friends would never ditch us, they would stay by our side, and so would Tamaki and Kyoya.
I just have to wait for Hikaru to understand, and until that happens I can just make it clear that I would never leave his side.
I walk across our new, luxurious, room to where my twin sat playing his game. His head rises up from the game when I squat in front of the chair he is sitting in.
"I love you Hikaru," I say softly and press my lips against his.
