He was dreaming again. He knew because she was there, alive and smiling. He was happy, and there was no fear, or hatred, just the bliss of knowing everything was okay. Lizzie was going about her business, laughing at something she had told him, and Trip was watching.
In his dream Trip grinned, although his subconcious screamed at him to run from the perverted vision. It was not true, and if he continued to watch, Lizzie was going to suffer, and it would be his fault. He needed to wake up now, before his little sister was slain. Again.
Despite this reasoning, Trip could not tear himself from Lizzie as she skipped out the back door.

Trip followed Lizzie out into the grassy back yard of his childhood, knowing well what was about to happen.

Lizzie was waving at him, begging her older brother to come join her in the sunshine. As in all his nightmares, Trip couldn't move. Usually, he would call out to her and try to make her understand, but this time he just stood there and stared at the deadly beam that made its way towards Lizzie with an agonizing slowness.

The weapon was upon her now and Lizzie leaned down to smell a flower, completely oblivious to her inevitable end. Trip felt tears run down his face and blamed them for his blurred vision, but then the image changed. He was no longer standing in a fenced in yard, but a wild forest full of reds and golds. The beam of light was gone, but so was Lizzie. In her place was a raven haired woman dressed in a flowing white gown. The woman walked as if she were on a cloud and her voice rang out in a hypnotic song that eased Trip's fears, yes that he did not understand.

The beautiful woman stopped and turned her head to look at him, her perfect lips still making glorious music. Trip's breath caught as her eyes met his, and he felt himself sink into their perfect depths.

The woman closed her eyes as her song came to an end, and Trip gasped as he was thrown out of his slumber.
Legolas woke from his peaceful sleep and looked around the clearing he was encamped in. He could have sworn he had heard someone singing, but the night around him was empty.
Free the dream within
The stars are crying
A tear, a sigh
Escapes from heaven
And worlds end
Breathe the dream within
The mystifying
We tremble and spin
Suspended within
Look beyond
Where hearts can see
Dream in peace
Trust love, believe
We tremble and spin
Suspended within
Free the dream within
The voices calling
A song, a prayer
From deep inside you
To guide you
Be the dream within
The light is shining
A flame on the wind
Salvation begins
TO BE CONTINUED...
