She always pretended to not know the truth about who he was. She thought that maybe he didn't want her.
He seemed unaware that this was all an act, though she wished that he could open his eyes a little more and notice it. The problem was that he didn't want to notice it. She could read his fear even though he tried so hard to hide it from her, and everyone else. But she could feel it easily.
So, for his sake, and for fear of losing him she pretended not to know.
"Mr. Hiei, have you heard anything about my brother?" She asked the question almost every day in hoped that he would finally admit to her the truth.
But he never did.
He never would.
For as strong and fearless as he pretended to be; it was all an act. In truth, he was just a scared little kid.
