Animorph Lament in Blue

Animorph Lament in Blue

I am no longer human,

Never needing monkeys.

When you drove me home that night,

I saw your stripes.

That time we ate out,

And then fought Dr. Bastard.

You said that you loved me like a flint in August,

More than three different things.

And when we ran through the surf,

To the magic dream world,

Seeing all the hidden things like hidden colors,

Everything was fine.

But now you're dead,

Lying in a coffin deep below.

I say you who are alive,

Rescue the dead.

Save your corpse from rot and take you with me.

But that's not possible.

The monkeys are screaming,

Because you're lost.

Everyone always says,

Suicide is bad,

But I have my father's gun.

I stroke it like your mane.

I think of the sweet release,

As I lick the barrel,

And I think of you,

How we'll be together forever in hell,

Then I pull the trigger.

My spirit floats over my spasming body,

I see my brains splattered across the wall.

Then the shadows come and drag me below.

I'm chained to a flaming rock.

Forever with you.
