Disclaimer: I do not own the Chronicles of Narnia. We've been through this already.
Summary: The Rulers of Narnia, in poem format. May or may not become a series of Narnian Poems.
A/N - This is dedicated to my twin sister, who drowned on the 26th of December, 2005. Rest In Peace.
The Kings and Queens of Narnia
Frank and his Helen, Narnia's First King and Queen,
Children of Adam and Eve, Rulers have always been.
Narnia and Archenland, their children would lead,
With fairness and kindness, as Aslan decreed.
Lucy, the youngest, who loved Aslan best,
Whose Valiance and Faithsurpassed allthe rest.
The first to believe, to see and be seen,
Her Courage and Selflessness made her a Queen.
Edmund the Just, but who once was called traitor,
Third of the children, but he wanted to be greater.
He met the witch first, and was seduced by her charms,
But repented, and was welcomed by his siblings' open arms.
Susan, the second, but last in the end,
Her faith slowly lost, no more Narnia's friend.
Her beauty and gentleness held her suitors close to hand,
But her scorn of the stories kept her from Aslan's land.
Peter, the eldest, High King of kings,
In Cair Paravel, where the mermaid sings.
King Peter the Magnificent, stalwart and tall,
Warrior and leader, High King over all.
Caspian the Tenth, from line of tyranny was born,
But he fled from his uncle, and in faith blew Susan's Horn.
He renewed the Old Ways, and became The Seafarer,
United and brought peace, and freed Narnia from terror.
Rillian, who was stolen, and for years was unfound,
Captured by the Green Witch, held by enchantment underground.
But with help from two children, he fought enchantment and chair,
Killed the Witch and returned, revealed as Narnia's lost Heir.
Tirian, the Final, and true to the last,
The Ape spread his lies, but Tirian stood fast.
"O Aslan, O Children, Help us," he prays,
And they fought for the truth, in Narnia's last days.
Dedicated to my twin sister, who drowned on the 26th of December, 2005. Rest In Peace, Sally. You are Loved and Missed.
