Yami loved watching his little Aibou sleep. Night after night he would sit next to his Aibou on his bed, watching him sleep. Sometimes he would hear him talk in his sleep. (He said Yami's name a lot). Some nights Yugi would scoot up close to Yami. Yami would then take him into his arms and ruffle his hair. He'd look lovingly at his Aibou until he would fall asleep with a smile on his face.
But one night…
"Yami…. Yami… YAMI!" Yugi cried out, tossing and turning in his bed, "YAMI! YAMI, WAIT! Please…don't…leave…me…Yami… Yami…Yami…Yami" With every "Yami" he was on the verge of having a breakdown more and more.
"Aibou, Aibou, Aibou! Wake up, wake up!" Yami said, shaking his little one until he woke up.
"Yami!" Yugi exclaimed, wrapping his arms tightly around Yami. He was getting tears all over Yami's shirt, but at the moment, neither of them really cared about that.
"Shh… shh, Aibou, it's okay, it's okay," he said in a soothing voice, "What's the matter? Did you have a bad dream?"
Yugi looked up at him with tear filled eyes and nodded.
"Can you tell me about this dream?" he asked Yugi, while gently wiping his tears away.
Yugi shook his head violently. He was afraid he might start crying again.
"Please, Aibou, for me?" he persuaded Yugi, giving him a kind and dazzling smile.
"Okay, I'll t-try" Yugi said.
"I was dreaming that you and I were in a city and we were walking and you were way ahead of me and I was trying to catch up to you and suddenly there was this huge crowd of people between us and I couldn't find you anywhere. I was about to give up when I saw you on the other side and I finally made my way through everybody but you were already gone and I looked everywhere and I still couldn't find you!"
Yugi cried even harder and buried his face once again into Yami's shirt.
"Shh, shh, shh," he said, "I'm not going anywhere, I promise. I love you with all my heart, Yugi. I always have and I always will."
Yugi stopped crying and looked at him.
"Yami, I love you too. I always have and always will love you too."
They looked at each other and exchanged loving smiles. Then they looked affectionately at one another until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
