When Sirius parents asked him to give his little brother Regulus driving lessons he was confused. Wasn't this normally supposed to be his fathers responsibility? The man had given his oldest son driving lessons, so why shouldn't he do the same thing to Regulus? But his parents had insisted he do it. It would be a great way to bond for the brothers they said and after a while of them asking he agreed. Inwardly, he was happy to do it, he had missed his brother the last few months he was in college.

So on a warm, sunny summerday, he took the car keys and Regulus and sat down in their "ancient", as Regulus liked to put it, Oldtimer. He handed his brother the key and the boy proceeded to put it in the ignition in order to start the vehicle. Sirius stopped him.

"Haven't you forgotten something?" he asked, pointing to the seatbelt, that still hung loose on it's holder.

His younger sibling rolled his eyes, but put the keys doen and strapped on his seatbelt. "Better?" he asked, the annoyance clearly audible in his voice.

Sirius just nodded and continued instructing him on what to do after he had started the car. The younger boy did great, moving the car out of their parking lot and on their street worked almost perfectly, like he had aleady done this before. They sat there in silence, not talking while Regulus drove them to their planned destination, an empty abondened parking lot outside the city. Not many cars were around, so they didn't have a problem with traffic. Finally they reached the lot and Regulus parked in an empty spot in the middle of it. The lot was old, the pavement was partly cracked and flowers and grass bloomed in some spots. The place belonged to an empty supermarket building. The owner didn't have the money to keep it up anymore and soit was closed. And instead of closing the area up, he let it open for public purposes. Like teaching kids how to drive (or other more illegal activities).

...

Regulus felt excited and angry at the same time. Excited, because his older brother was back from college and would be spending time with him and angry because of the exact same reason. He knew Sirius didn't do this on his own will. Theirs parents had asked him to. If they didn't his brother would be god knows where, hanging around with his best friends and making diverse nonsense. Regulus was never invited to join them, his older sibling constantly claimed he was too young to do so or that it would be too dangerous.

Someone shoved him roughly in the shoulder and proclaimed: "Hey, I said you can start the enginee again and park us out of this spot."

"Oh, sure okay."

Regulus was nervous. He knew how to do it at home, where he had done it multiple times. But here. The parking lot was huge and abandoned but not too far behind him was a brick wall, in which he, if he wasn't careful enough, would surely crash.

"Come on. It's just like home. Put in the reverse gear, check in the mirrors if there is anything behind the car, drive backwards and then just drive forward towards that flag mast over there. Okay?"

He just noded in esponse to his brother and did as he was told. The rest of the day just consisted of Sirius telling him what to do and what not. He did well in his opinion. They only crashed once and that wasn't even a real crash, he just scrapped the end of a brick wall. However, Sirius dramatized it, shouting at him to be careful and other warnings. The younger brother just rolled his eyes, but was more careful now.

The day ended with Sirius driving them home and an exhausted Regulus in the passenger front seat. The driving lessons were finally over.
