YET again, I am Athena daughter of Zeus has dared me! This time it's slightly worse! And when I say slightly, I mean very embarrasing! Anyway, things in bold are the things she told me to include in the dare, so yeah... I'll just let you read...
DISCLAIMER: I don't own PJO or HoO
Travis grumbled, yet again, as he walked through the busy streets of New York City. Usually, he'd be at camp right now, but as he was dared, YET AGAIN, he had to leave. Soon, Empire State Building came into view and Travis could feel the nervousness building up.
Swallowing past the lump in his throat, he walked the last steps and enters the building. The receptionist is being difficult, as usual, but after a while, Travis get the keycard and enters an elevator where there aren't people.
600th floor came into view soon after and Travis can feel the nervousness taking over. He's tempted to run back, but he doesn't. Instead, he force himself to walk forwards. Travis hoped he'd live through this, but he couldn't be sure. After all, pissing off the gods, and especially that particular goddess, wasn't something you should do. And he defiantly didn't want to be turned into a jackalope, or a squirrel (he still remembers Thalia turning him into one).
He frowned as the Throne Room came into view. He braced himself and felt the fake tears well up in his eyes. Oh yeah, he was a great actor! The doors burst open and Travis walked in, crying. Not really crying, but the fake tears made a good show. Athena was trying not to laugh; after all, she was the one to dare him. His Father frowned as he walked in.
Travis ran over to Lady Artemis and shook slightly from the 'crying'. "I want to join the Hunt! I turn my back on all men and pledge to love and serve you, Lady Artemis! Men are lying, disgraceful pigs, and I will swear to be forever an eternal maiden!"
Artemis looked at him in shock before her features turned into a frown. "Why are you bothering me, boy?" she asked. "And no, you cannot join the Hunt!"
"Why not?! I too am a maiden who wishes to be a Huntress!" Travis complained. It took all his willpower to not just quit the dare right then. After all, the worst was yet to come.
"No boys allowed! And you would not be a huntress, but a hunter." Artemis said, glaring at him.
Travis almost sighed, but he managed to somehow keep it in. "Please, My Lady!"
Artemis studied him for a moment. Then her eyes shone with a little amusement. "Are you serious?"
"I want to be gay no more! I will swear off men and be straight!" Travis said and then turned around, giving a glare to Athena, who had trouble keeping upright in her throne, and marched out of there. The dare was done and yet again, Travis had completed it! And he had a feeling this wouldn't be the last dare, and not the worst either.
Hope you enjoyed it! It was fun to write when I imagined it wasn't me I was writing about!
