Unexpected Things

Disclaimer: I no own. Sorry.
Looking back now, there were many things that Zack had never expected to happen. He had never expected to join SOLDIER, never expected to befriend Sephiroth, or sleep with him for that matter. He had never expected to take a little grunt under his wing to help, and he definitely never expected that said little grunt would be hit on when Zack took him to a bar.
Not that it wasn't completely unexpected. Come on now, Cloud was a good looking guy and if you were lucky enough to see him while you were drunk, Cloud made one hell of a blonde bombshell.
The bit that was unexpected was the fact that Zack had noticed, a little too late, that their bartender had been spiking Cloud's supposedly alcohol-free drink. Zack hadn't noticed at first because it started in small amounts so that Cloud couldn't taste any alcohol, and the amount slowly increased until Cloud was drinking some of the hardest mixed drinks that the bar had to offer.
He had finally realized this when Cloud's cheeks were just a bit too red, and his voice a bit louder than usual. When Zack placed a hand on Cloud's shoulder to calm him down, Cloud turn to his friend and stared.
"You alright there, Cloud?" Zack asked, leaning down to look into Cloud's reddening eyes.
Cloud swayed and then fell into Zack's chest, giggling, "I'm just fine, Zacky."
Zack chuckled. "C'mon, Cloud. Let's get you home."
"But Zack!" Cloud looked up quickly. "I'm having lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of fun. Mr. Bartender man said that he'd take me home. So if you want to leave, you can. I'll be fine."
Zack growled slightly. "No Cloud. You are coming with me."
"But I'm having fun! I never get to have fun. Zack, pleeease let me stay!" Cloud pulled out the big guns and gave Zack his most hurt look.
Zack gulped, and looked away. He was really going to have to make Cloud feel bad for wanting to stay.
"I guess that you can stay, Cloud, but I just wanted to spend some private time together, since we are dating and everything."
Cloud's eyes widened. "Since when?"
"Since now." Zack bent down and kissed Cloud possessively, hoping that the bartender was watching.
Zack finally broke the kiss when Cloud whimpered from lack of oxygen. Cloud laid his head on Zack's chest.
"If you promise to cuddle me when we get back to your place, I'll go with you."
Zack chuckled. "I promise. Now let's go."
Cloud nodded, and turned to go. Only problem was that he was still too drunk to really walk and started to fall forward. Luckily, Zack was a SOLDIER and caught him.
"Here, I'll carry you." Zack scooped Cloud up bridal style, and headed for the door.
"Hey! Where you goin'?" The bartender asked when he saw Zack carrying Cloud to the door.
"Sorry!" Cloud called over Zack's shoulder. "I'm taken by my Zacky, and you can't have any of me. I have to save myself for him!"
"C'mon Cloud. We have some love to make." Zack carried Cloud from the bar and Cloud cuddled, then fell asleep.
Zack decided then that unexpected things weren't so bad.
End.
