I slipped into place beside Frank on the couch, receiving a jump, a turn, and then a smile as Frank realized it was me who was wrapping an arm over his shoulders and nibbling his earlobe. I grinned at him and sat up, away from his ear, leaving my arm across his shoulders.
The party was just buzzing around us - and that was an understatement. I'm pretty sure we broke the maximum capacity fire code a couple times over with this bash. People were jumping and dancing around, toppling over chairs and each other, the night a distorted and drunken blur. We really only knew a handful of people here, but then those guys invited other people, and then they told people, and the vicious cycle continued.
I leaned my head against Frank's and he giggled, squirming a bit.
"Gee, we have to be careful." He nearly had to scream to be heard over the blasting music but I leaned away. No one knows that Frank's gay; and he had told me that he's not ready to be out yet, and I was patient.
I took his hand quietly and stood up, tugging him to his feet. Looking confused, by intent, Frank followed me as I led him through the mob of people. We nodded and smiled at people we actually knew as we walked, relishing the probably first and last time we see them at this party.
I grinned at him as we reached the top of the staircase, and leaning against my bedroom door. Frank looked a bit hesitant, but smiled. I tilted my head, smiling a little, and kissed his cheek.
"Privacy." I whispered into his ear.
I turned the knob and entered my dark bedroom, the music dimming into the background as we closed the door behind us, the sound of the thunder outside coming into focus.
A flash of light cast upon my bed and wall as lightning flashed outside. Frank sat on my bed, watching as I followed him.
"Gerard, I'm sorry..." He said when I sat down next to him. I frowned, confused.
"I'm sorry for having to keep this secret." He took my hand in his, playing with my fingers idly.
I smiled. "It's okay." I whispered. He blushed, looking down at our hands.
I chuckled, intertwining our fingers.
"I love you." I said and Frank looked up at me quickly. I was scared; I had never seen that look on his face before.
"I love you, too." He whispered, leaning in close to me. Our shoulders were touching already, and I could feel Frank's gentle breath rolling down my neck. Our lips brushed together just as lightning flashed outside, and Frank's eyes captured the light, making the hazel orbs a beautiful green. I closed my eyes, pulling Frank closer.
I never thought I could possibly be here, in love, happy, and with Frank. I hope this never ends. I could stay with Frank forever, and nothing could possibly pull us apart.
