I do not own anything related to Crossing Jordan...Although I wish I did because then it wouldnt have gone off the air so soon...

Just a one shot dealy...thought I would give it a shot...

My story takes place the first night after Jordan and the gang get back from their "adventure" on the mountain...
Jordan is lying in bed, and finally falls into a restless sleep...

"No... No...You can't leave me... "
She jolts awake in a cold sweat, gasping for breath. She runs her hand through her damp hair and sighs... I'm never going to get any sleep at this rate she thinks to herself. She decides to take a walk to try and clear her head. She throws on a pair of sweatpants and Sweater grabs her keys and out the door she goes. Looking at her watch she wonders where she is going to go at three in the morning. Wandering aimlessly around Boston she finally ends up in front of Woody's building. After debating over going up for a few minutes she decides she wants to be with him. After telling him that she loved him up on the mountain, she couldn't understand why she wasn't staying with him tonight anyway.
Reaching his door she starts to knock then thinks to herself "I hope he doesn't get mad that I just show up" Woody opens the door

Woody: Jordan? (Looking at his watch) Its almost four in the morning what are you doing here? Are you okay?
Jordan: Couldn't sleep so I took a walk and here is where I ended up.
Woody: Okay (wondering to himself how much was she keeping from him) Come on in.
Jordan: Thanks (smiles and walks past him into his apartment)

Jordan sits down on the couch and Woody follows her and sits down. After a few minutes silence He says to her...

Woody: Jordan, what's wrong? You just showing up here at 4 in the morning doesn't make me believe you when you say you just couldn't sleep.

Jordan thinks for a minute to herself, that she already told him she loved him so what was stopping her from telling him the real reason she was at his place this late. She takes a deep breath sighs and begins to tell him what is bothering her.

Jordan: Nightmares. (She just looks at him) We are back on the mountain, but I'm the only one left alive. You all froze to death (tears begin to form) There was nothing I could do you all just froze. I don't know how I was still alive, but all I could do was sit there on a log and see all of you lying there. I couldn't move, couldn't talk. I was just stuck there.

Woody: (pulls her close to him) its okay Jordan it was only a dream (smiles at her) after the amount of time it took you to tell me you loved me. There is no way you are getting rid of me that easy
Jordan: (looking relieved pushes him gently) Very funny farm boy.
Woody: (grinning) I thought so.

Jordan can't help but think how nice it felt to be sitting there in his arms. She let herself lay her head on his shoulder and close her eyes. Feeling his hand slowly rubbing his hand through her hair she began to relax, and felt herself slowly drift off to sleep.

Woody looks down at her sleeping and smiles. He can't believe she is sleeping in his arms. He had wanted this for so long and now here she was. Thinking even though it was almost five that it would be a long night still if he continued to sit on the couch, so he picked her up gently and carried her to his bed where he would lie beside her holding her close, where she slept peacefully, nightmare free until late that afternoon.
