Silena:
Through the years, I have had many people come in and out of my life. I encountered many different types of people. Strong, sweet, beautiful, naive, bubbly, protective, wise and many more. Here is the story of one, the Silent Girl.

I first encountered the Silent Girl when I came to camp. She looked after me in the infirmary. She didn't talk, but non the less I grew to like her.
Unfortunately after I left I didn't see her much.
I truly came to know her many years later, an hour before the Battle of The Labyrinth.
I was talking to Luke, in the forest. I was trying to tell him that I didn't want to be a spy anymore but he threatened to hurt the people I loved. After we had finished talking and he had finally left, she came out from behind the tree she had been hiding in. I froze, scared for my life. I was prepared to fight but instead of running off, screaming "TRAITOR" like most people would've, she walked over and hugged me. I was caught completely off guard, and then I started crying. And before I knew it I spilt it all out. About how I had gelt lonely and he was so kind that I couldn't say no and how I wanted to stop but he kept threatening me. She just listened, while I talked. After at least 10 minutes of me just babbling, I finally stopped. She just nodded. "We need to go and fight now, don't we?" I said. She nodded. We walked back together. We fought that battle together. That's how I didn't pull my hair pull my hair out through that time. Together.

She hardly ever said anything, and never in public, but when she did, I learned a lot. Sometimes, it was comfort, sometimes life lessons, occasionally funny but I also learned about her. She had it hard. A daughter of Demeter, but didn't really fit in, she didn't like cereal or plants as much. Also, despite being 17 and beautiful, she had never really been in love. She didn't mind, she had other plans, but people thought she was weird. We weren't always together, but when we were, it was a huge relief. She understood everything.

We fought all the battles. But the Battle of Manhattan was much different for us. I knew this would be my last battle, so did she. But we never imagined what we got. It was the first little miny-battle in the huge one. We were both at our posts. We were both at our posts. We both fought well. Unfortunately, the Aphrodite cabin was having some troubles. She came over to help out. We were both fighting, slashing through monsters. About 3/4 through we heard a cry, one of the really little girls had gotten hurt, the Silent Girl, being herself, ran over to help. Half-way there a hell hound camp up and bite her, hard. I screamed and ran towards the beautiful girl, with the chocolate brown hair and her warm grey eyes, who lay motionless, on the ground. When I reached her I knelt down and held her hand.
"Silena" she whispered. "GoodBye"
"See you soon, Caelyn."
