"I can't believe Rick banished Carol from the group and hasn't tried to say he's sorry."
Berrie-Lou rolled her eyes and tried to hide her sigh of frustration, but Mary-Sue picked up on it anyway.
"What?" Mary-Sue demanded sharply.
"You're really gonna start up with this again, Mary-Sue?"
"Start up with what? Defending the Queen from haters like you?"
Berrie-Lou grabbed a bottle of wine and poured a glass while she considered her next words.
"Rick doesn't owe Carol an apology for punishing her for a heinous crime. You forget she murdered two sick, defenseless people and left their bodies to be found like garbage."
Mary-Sue's face reddened in anger. "She was acting for the good of the group."
"So was Rick. If Carol can be forgiven for taking it upon herself to murder two people in cold blood, then Rick can be forgiven for kicking someone who would do such a thing, without remorse, out of the group."
Mary-Sue slammed her fist on the table, scaring the cat. "It was a death sentence, kicking her out! He should've at least brought it up before the council before acting on his own that way.
Berrie-Lou downed the rest of her wine. "Shanking and burning two people just for being sick was a death sentence Carol carried out without consulting the council."
Mary-Sue fumed and crossed her arms. She struggled to come up with an excuse to defend Carol's actions and condemn Rick.
"That's different. Carol is the Queen. She never makes mistakes. She's the baddest badass to ever walk on the show and Rick deserves the hate because he just banished her, condemned her-"
Berrie-Lou chugged from the bottle, sick of this bullshit reasoning in defense of Carol.
"If Carol's such a badass then why was banishing her a death sentence? I mean, she's the big bad Queen. And...she didn't die, did she? In fact, she turned into Rambo, made an impossible shot on that gas tank, and saved the day. She even nabbed Rick's watch and have it to him."
Mary-Sue sputtered angrily. "That's just...Rick...he banished...RICK DIDN'T KISS CAROL'S ASS! HE DIDN'T EVEN BUILD AN ALTAR TO HER AND SACRIFICE A SMALL WOODLAND ANIMAL TO HER AND BEG FOR HER FORGIVENESS! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!"
Berrie-Lou sighed and finished the bottle. "No, I don't understand. I don't understand your cult mentality regarding Carol. I don't understand why Carol can move on and Rick can move on and they're friends but you're still butthurt and bitching over this shit. Carol ain't a Queen. She's one character among many. Besides, the whole banishment arc was a plot device to save the group from terminus and make her out to be a hero. You do realize that if Carol had been with the group she'd be sizzling on a grill with the rest of Team Family, right? So STFU about 'Rick banished Carol!' 'Rick doesn't kiss the Queen's ass!' It's been nearly three years. Get over it. Let it go."
