When You Come Back to Me Again
As the sun came up in Vegas, a single ray of light shone brightly through the shades and into the bedroom landing on a sleeping figure of a man. His salt and pepper curls shined in the sunlight, and his features were softer than they were when he was awake as well as brighter because of the rays of golden light. As the alarm clock started to scream its all so familiar tune he rolled over and sleepily hit the off bottom before rolling to lie on his back and attempted to rub the sleep from his face. Gil Grissom was not a morning person, especially seeing as how he had the day off but had to go to the Dr's office for a check-up on his hearing. He could smell the fragrance of coffee brewing and slowly made his way out of bed and downstairs into the kitchen. He smiled as he watched her standing with her back towards him. He chuckled a bit before giving a nice loud cat whistle. The woman turned around laughing; her smile was slightly crooked but gave a distinct tone to the other features of her face. Her eyes were a pale green, and her skin had a light tan. Over-all she was a very attractive woman, even though she was in her early forties she could very easily pass for early to mid-thirties.
"Good morning honey."
He smiled and made his way over to her and gave her a light kiss before starting to pour his cup of morning coffee.
Life for Gil Grissom had changed a lot in just a few years. After his almost burn out yet again after losing Sara he made personal and professional changes. He started going out more with his co-workers and eventually wasn't seen as such of an outsider. He had gotten married, stopped working as often, and even started seeing a therapist to help him open up more. However the things he will face will catch him so off guard that things will never be the same for him or his life again. The only question is how much has he really changed, and has he only put on a performance and played a character for the past four years? Has he locked himself hidden away so deep inside that it will take a severe awakening to have even he realize it?
