The Perfect Present.

By: Yuki Hikari Azumaya.

[A/N: This was intended to be my father's birthday present. I sent it here anyway. Sharing is a sign to show you that you care and I care all of you (even if evil minx's around to tamper my moods and destroy my will to write and do anything useful for myself or my room that looked like a typhoon just struck). Happy Birthday dad, Hope you like it!]

A young 9 year old hanyou scowled. 'Argh! Dad's coming and I haven't finished up my birthday present yet!' he thought as he growled in frustration. The door opened to reveal his elder brother, Sesshomaru with a little neatly wrapped box. "Done?" Sesshomaru inquired. "No!" he barked. Sesshomaru walked towards him. "Could not decide, huh?" he nudged. "Yeah! How did you manage to make dad's present so quick Sesshomaru?" Inuyasha asked, looking up at his 14 year old brother. "Talents." Was the answer he got. 'Talents? What talent are we talking about? Drawing portraits? Craving woodwork? Writing stories?' As if he's sensing his brother's inner turmoil, Sesshomaru simply said. "This year's woodwork." Inuyasha turned to his half-brother. "Your talents are writing songs, playing musical instruments and writing stories. Use it than go to waste." Sesshomaru explained as he walked out, hoping that his half brother had got it this time.

"Happy birthday, Taisho!" the room was erupted by party poppers and streamers contribution by Izayoi. "Thank you." Inu no Taisho smiled as his wife handed him a neatly wrapped box. He tore the wrappings and saw a locket with the family picture of Inu no Taisho; Izayoi; Mizuki, Sesshomaru's deceased mother; Sesshomaru and Inuyasha. "Thank you dear." He kissed her forehead just in time to get Sesshomaru's present. He tore off the wrappings and was presented by a beautiful sculpture of a dog demon. "It's you in you true form." Sesshomaru gave a hint of smile. "Thank you Sesshomaru. Where's Inuyasha?" He turned to look for his second son when Inuyasha came in, a guitar in hand. "Well dad. Here's my present!" Inuyasha grinned as he strummed a tune with his guitar.

To think that I was tired of this game,

So sick of dealing with the matters of life,

I given up all hopes and my dreams,

Until you came and help me out of the blue.

You never complain when I whine,

And you never raised a hand on me,

Sometimes when I think deep of what I had done.

And to think that what you do is always wrong.

You were always trying to help me move on.

That's why I had this song made,

To tell you what I could not,

To never shatter my dignity and honour.

But this is what I want to tell you all this time.

Deep in my heart,

I'm sorry for what I did wrong,

Forgive this imbecile child of yours

For every thing that I've done.

Deep in the sorrow and my façade,

I've always want to say,

That I love you, Chichi-Ue.

That I've always love . . . you, dad.

Inuyasha looked up to see his father's eyes filled with unshed tears. "That was the most perfect present of all." He praised, ruffling with Inuyasha's mane. Inuyasha laughed in reply. "Thanks dad and Happy Birthday." He smiled.
