Month 1
Day 1
Neil and I had incredible sex last night!!! We've been trying for a baby for two months now and I really hope it happens soon. I know the doctor warned us it can take a few months to fall pregnant after coming off the pill, but some people fall straight away. I can't help getting ahead of myself, I'm so excited at the thought of having a baby and I'm already thinking of names, looking at baby clothes and picking out colour schemes for the nursery. It would be wonderful if it happened.
Day 5
I had such a long day at work today, chasing youths who vandalized an elderly woman's property and assisting CID on an armed robbery case. It is good to get these opportunities since I really want to work in CID in the future, but everything about the day was taxing. Fortunately I have Neil and he pampered me all night! He cooked a delicious meal, then ran us a long bath with scented candles all over the room. It was so romantic! Afterwards we made love three times. For the first night in a long time we weren't necessarily doing it to get pregnant.
Day 13
I've felt awful all day, I'm nauseous and exhausted. This could be it, I could be pregnant! But I don't want to get my hopes up too high just yet, and I definitely won't be telling Neil just yet, until I'm sure. I've bought the pregnancy tests, six of them, and I plan to take them tomorrow morning. I'm so excited, I can't wait to find out if I'm having a baby with Neil. It is our dream to have a big family, and I can't wait to make a start on it.
Day 14
I took the tests this morning and I'm pregnant!!! I'm ecstatic! I can't wait to become a mother, and in some ways I can't believe this is really happening. We're having a baby! I loved the look on Neil's face when I told him, so adorable. He just broke into a brilliant smile, his eyes softening as they always do when he smiles, and he picked me up and spun me round. We're so happy, this is one of the best things that has ever happened to us, apart from meeting each other. I can't wait to tell my friends, though we are being careful and keeping it to ourselves until the 12 week period when we'll hopefully know everything is fine with our baby.
Day 29
Everything is going well, I'm doing great apart from horrible morning sickness which has me as sick as a dog. We were walking past Mothercare today and couldn't resist a walk through. We found this adorable miniature Winnie the Pooh teddy bear, and Neil bought it because I fell in love with it at first sight. We don't want to buy too much baby stuff at the moment, but this was one thing we couldn't resist. It is so cute I actually welled up when I saw it. I keep touching my stomach subconsciously, its incredible to think there is a baby growing in there and I'm already protecting him/her.
