Mia sat silently, watching her daughter sleep. Isabella seemed so peaceful and with all that had happened it was a rare moment. As
her daughter stirred wrapped inside of her pink covers Mia smiled slightly, she knew JT was gone, but to think her daughter might have
the memory of him, of how good he was to them made her feel at some sort of peace. Lately, Mia had lost what she believed in. She
was being bitter to her friends and family, finding blame in all, blame that shouldn't be there. The only person that kept her sane was Isabella.
She got up out of the chair that was aside the bed and slowly moved it back into the corner. Taking one last look at her daughter,
pulling the covers just a little snugger she walked into her own room. Just like the past nights, it was sure to be a long one filled with
tears but Mia knew eventually it would all work out, even if JT wasn't there.
The next day as she woke Isabella for daycare the two got ready. Getting ready was their thing, every morning Mia would take a
shower while Bella bathed, then the two would get dressed, then finally get dressed and meet in the bathroom and finish doing their hair
together. JT loved watching it, he always thought it was cute how Bella would watch her mother do her make-up intently, like it was
going to be her turn any minute, and how every once and awhile Mia would put just a tad bit of lip gloss on Bella. It was never too
much, just enough for the little girl to feel special. That day, after getting ready, Mia got ready to walk Bella to school. The two walked
along side by side for awhile until finally the little girl spoke "Mommy, where's JT?" It was the question Mia had been dreading since the
night she got the phone call. How were you supposed to tell a two year old that the only father figure they ever had was dead? "Honey"
Mia said, slowly kneeling next to her daughter "JT went away, he went to heaven" Bella's head turned to her mom and tilted her head
"But Mommy, I saw him, I saw him last night" Bella said, with a confused look. "Awe, honey, I'm sure you were only dreaming" she
said to her little girl, "But mommy, I wasn't, I saw him last night! He told me he was going away, he told me to remember him." Mia
looked away, trying to hold back the tears. Talking about JT was hard, especially to your two year old, and even more when the two
year old is telling you she saw your dead boyfriend the night before. It wasn't something she though Bella would make-up. Mia grabbed
her daughter's hand and slowly walked her to school, while she was left to think about what the little girl said.
Later, school had let out, Mia walked to JT's gravesite. She sat down next to it letting the tears fall openly, it was one thing if she really
believe that her daughter had dreamed the night before, but she didn't think so. And if what her daughter was saying, could even be
possible true she had to thank whatever was Up There, for the closure.
This was based off of a story that my friend experienced personally. She was the mom. I hope you guys like the story and it is up to you on what you believed happened. This isn't exactly my best writing, seeing how it is three fifteen on a Sunday night, and I am really sick, but I thought it was decent.
