My first completed Psych fic, so be kind in your judgements, lol. Hints of Shassie, because...well, just because.

And for people wondering when the hell I'm going to update "Not Leaving", I am SO SORRY for keeping you all waiting. I just... I really have no idea. Maybe this is my Muse's way of telling me I should've just left it at the original one-shot it was supposed to be? I'll update when I can, I promise.

Anyway, here 'tis! Enjoy!

It was surprisingly quiet in the Psych office. Not that Gus was complaining of course, but it did seem a little odd for Shawn to not be doing everything in his considerable power to annoy him. It was either a miracle, or something was wrong. Very wrong.

Gus decided not to question it any more than necessary, and just enjoy the peaceful albeit rare silence. He took the opportunity to web surf, looking up info on the next Comic Convention. Hopefully no one would recognize him as "Magic Head."

Later, after Gus had decided to skip the Convention this year (there was a whole booth dedicated to Magic Head), he checked his email, going through all of his various newsletters and subscriptions first. There were even a few that Shawn didn't know about. At least Gus hoped Shawn didn't know about them. If he did, he'd never hear the end of Shawn's teasing over a few of them.

Of course, knowing Shawn, he had probably already gone through Gus' entire hard-drive, the sneaky bastard. Jeez, what was he up to, being so quiet?

Gus looked up over his screen to watch Shawn cautiously. The pseudo-psychic wasn't doing anything that looked ominous, only doing something on his own laptop. Probably playing Tetris.

Then why is he staring so intently at the screen?

Gus glared at him suspiciously, then went back to his email. He knew that he should be enjoying this moment, rare as it was, but the silence was steadily becoming unnerving. He couldn't help but keep glancing over at his abnormally quiet friend, just waiting for something to happen to disturb the force, uhm…peace.

Really, what was wrong with Shawn? Were they out of Captain Crunch? Had Lassiter inadvertently broken the idiot's heart again? Had the Miami Vice marathon been cancelled?

Hold up, that better not be what's wrong. I've been waiting all week for that!

A low ping indicated that he had a new email, and when he glanced at the subject he smiled. He had been looking forward to the latest edition of his online Safe Cracker magazine. He immediately opened the email, forgetting momentarily about Shawn's odd behavior.

I wonder if they already have the-

"Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down!" blasted from Gus' speakers as the Rick Astley music video played on his computer screen, making him nearly jump out of his skin.

The crappy 80s music filled the room, breaking the too good to be true silence, the only thing louder being the sound of Shawn's laughter.

"Shawn!"

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Sorry if it sucked, my Muse hasn't been cooperative lately. =/ Anyway, hope you enjoyed!
